This place is amazing! The casino is fun and lively, on par with Las Vegas. The food is delicious (I recommend 36 Steak and Seafood - the Chef does both very well). Finally, the room's are comfortable and well maintained.

Too expensive for the small amount of food you get. Slots are way too tight!

After having issues with getting my win/loss statement I had given this place a bad review. Upon going to the Vegas venues I was able to access it without any problems from another major resort by the same owners. I wish I had known this or someone at Cactus Pete's had that knowledge but anyway if not for that one (very important) obstacle I can honestly rate the friendliness and quality of Cactus Pete's a definite 5 stars. We were sooo glad it turned out this way as we really love the comfort and hospitality of this smaller individualized resort setting.

Would like to know the point of them offering complimentary rooms on Penn play however nothing is available every time you try to book one. They will charge you for one however. The worst think I’m done with them!!!

I lived in cactus apartments for a year and I received a note saying I owed more rent when I called he told me my rent went up…need to let ppl know before rent is due so they can pay accordingly…I didn’t sign a lease cause maintenance guy helped me get into so there for I didn’t know I needed to give a 30 days notice when I moved out…Ozzy told me I needed to give 30 day notice I said I didn’t know that he said it was in the lease I signed I didn’t sign a lease cause the maintenance guy helped me get in and the apartment didn’t go into my name until last few months. He said it was out of his hands and need to talk to sherry well now she ain’t answering paid my feb rent in middle of Jan and then had an unexpected emergency and had to move out end of Jan and now I can’t get my rent back for Feb yet I got my deposit back…the deposit is supposed to be used for cleaning after I leave and obviously I cleaned it good cause I got my deposit back but not my rent?? So I called spoke with Ozzy he said out of his control and I needed to speak with Sherry and she not answering so I would like to just have my rent back for February I paid it early and should not be penalized for that.

It was a tip we were really looking forward too. and it was terrible we regret going and wish we could take it back. We lost more money on this trip than we ever have at any other casinos, We had a very difficult time getting cocktails, We also had a bad experience in the desert room restaurant we waited 45 min to get our order in. it was not busy and on a weekday the food and service was terrible we heard a lot of people complain while we were there. The room was nice but "EVERYTHING" else was terrible we were hoping Penn play would be a good place for us to start using. It was not!!! Do yourself a favor go anywhere else save your sanity.

It's a good place to stay, clean, friendly staff, and they make some really Good Burgers! Would be nicer if they had inside jacuzzi or a lil fitness center....

We reserved our room at Cactus Pete's Casino at Jackpot, Nevada notifying them we had a service dog. When checking in, the poker-faced lady at the front desk informed me that if I had a service animal, I'd have to stay at the pet-friendly Horseshoe Inn instead. I reminded her that the local booking agent confirmed that Cactus Pete's Resort welcomes service animals. She excused herself and returned about three minutes later with a poker-faced manager. She began to grill me boisterously, asking what type of disability I had, how does the dog help me, and what rules to abide by - in front of a line of customers. A word of advice to those in the hospitality business at Cactus Pete's Resort, when customers arrive, welcome them with a smile, do not raise your voice, and remember, you would not be there if it weren't for the customers. If you cannot abide by these rules, consider an alternative career that does not require people skills. BTW, the Wild Horse Casino in Pendleton, Oregon is the same distance from Boise, and they accept pets for only $10. Plus, they have several restaurants, a bowling alley, movie theater, and bakery.

Dinning review for service at the Desert room! BLANCA AND ISREAL are so amazing. They were so on top of everything and one step ahead of the game. Thank you two for always going above and beyond!
