I would never use Tahoe Specialty flooring again. We had then put in half of our shades in our home in incline. Soon after we had them installed one shade wasn’t working correctly. So we called them and they said it wasn’t their shades. After weeks of going round and round they agreed it was their shade so we took the shade down so they could return it to get fixed. After weeks of waiting we finally got the shade. But now they won’t install it because we took the shade down. The customer service here is awlful. We spend a lot of money on those shades and to be told they won’t install the one shade that was defective. This is Bad business practice.

Tahoe Specialty Flooring & Window Design is a premium outfit. We were very satisfied with the installed Hunter Douglas curtains, from help with selection to professional seamless installation. Highly recommended.

Great experience! We recently purchased our second home and Tahoe Specialty came highly recommended to us. Not only did we upgrade the flooring, carpet, and kitchen countertops but they were able to breathe new life into the window covering/treatments that came with the home. Everyone was great to work with, and with this being our second home, we’re based out of San Francisco, my wife and I felt very comfortable not needing to be present and trust that the work was moving along. We appreciated the updates through the whole process and being thought of as human beings, not just a number. We can’t wait to spend the summer with our family in our new elevated space! We’ll definitely use them again when we decide to upgrade the window coverings.

I was stimulated to write this remmendation when they solved my very small problemeven after '4" rears. I have been working with Tahoe Specialty for years and they are great.I appreciate my motorized shades and friends never fail to give a positive comment,especially those who sleep in the guest room. Although it have been four yearssince my last purchase they return and fix even small problems. DELIVERING REALSERVICE AFTER SALE IS HARD TO FIND. Shaun is my "go to" manager who respondsimmediately. Annie is fabulous! We had a problem with our original order, our blinds were defective. Annie worked tirelessly to get us replacement blinds. She was diligent and worked to be sure we had the product that we wanted. I cannot recommend Tahoe Specialty Flooring & Window Design highly enough. I own a vacation home in Kings Beach. In an attempt to use local companies, I went to Tahoe Specialty Flooring for replacement of my carpeting and tile flooring in my house. Annie, the "estimator" came to my house to look at the tile that was cracking and measure the area for tile and carpet. She told me that my tile was cracking because the tile was installed incorrectly over the radiant heating. Long story short... they showed up, replaced the carpet and tile, removed my radiant heating, and cut off the wiring for the radiant heating to the wall without my permission. They failed to include a new radiant heating in the bid, and somehow that was my fault... I was specifically told after the fact that Annie, the "Tahoe SPECIALTY FLOORING" estimator wouldn't have known enough to have a conversation about radiant heating, so I must have made the whole thing up. They offered me $200 off of my $7,500+ bill. So I'm stuck with a large bill, a squeeky tile floor, and no radiant heating. I wish I would have just left the cracking tile and warm floor. Next time, I will be bringing a bay area contractor there that I can trust. I should have trusted all of the other bad reviews of this company. You are not specialists. You are con artists.

We had a bad experience with this flooring installer. They took 100% of the payment up front and now we have no leverage to get them to address the damage and problems with the install. We have already spent an additional $275 for excessive cleanup after the install (a total of $550 for just the downstairs of a small condo) and now we're looking at hundreds in repairs for our refrigerator and a new flooring company to fix the errors. It has already been 2 weeks of emails asking for help only to get 1-liner responses.
