IVCH is possibly the best hospital in the nation. My family and I have been seen at many hospitals around the country. This was my best experience in any ER. I spoke to Eric on the phone before coming in to see how busy they were. Eric was warm and friendly telling me that at the moment, they were not busy but that that could change. So we went in. In sharp contrast to most ER's, the waiting room was comfortable and not freezing. Anna checked me in right away and was also very welcoming. I was about to pull out my book and prepare for a long wait when Nurse Karen brought me in. I was able to lie down comfortably on a bed with a blanket while Karen gently asked me questions about my injuries. Karen exudes concern. Dr. Andrews came in shortly after. He was upbeat while at the same time, professional. I'm so glad that he told me to move my wedding ring as the swelling in my hand would most likely move down my fingers (It did). I was amazed when Jacqueline brought x-ray equipment to me instead of the other way around. So easy. Dr. Andrews came back to tell me that nothing was broken. I was relieved and grateful, especially when he told me that I could still kayak and hike, but to let my body dictate. I was in and out in around an hour. Amazing!! I would venture to say that this was one ER visit that was actually pleasant! Later on, I had a phone message from Nurse Joe. He sounded as kind as both Karen and the other nurse that I heard speaking to a patient in crisis over the phone. Every single staff person in the hospital is stellar as far as I could tell. I wish that I could give it more stars!! Bravo!

We had to come here for my friend who was under the weather. This is an amazing hospital! They helped her feel better and we're so kind!!!! Her nurse, Janet was simply amazing. She has such compassion for people and Dr. Haering has the very best bedside manner. Some people are meant to be doctors and nurses! They certainly are truly incredible gifts to the medical profession. I would give them 100 stars.

I brought my friend in to this hospital a few nights ago. The nurse I think Melissa was her name was so kind, smart and made him and myself feel comfortable. She goes above and beyond of the expectations I have ever experienced before in any medical facility. She truly is an angel. Thank you

My son had to get stitches while in incline after a sledding accident. The staff was kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. We felt in very good hands in their care. It is a tiny little hospital but very well staffed. Thank you incline Village community Hospital

As a lifelong resident of Incline for 45-years I have never been so disgusted how this place can take advantage of the people in our community. Very deceitful and sickening how they do business! My 5-year-old got a small cut over his eye playing with his big brother. Nothing serious and something that I could have easily fixed with 2-3 butterfly bandages. Unfortunately, I was working at the time, and my wife felt he should have it looked at by a doctor because I was unavailable. Thinking to myself...ya this is going to cost $500-$1,000 for something I could do for $1, but I was tied up so gave her the go ahead. After it was all said and done, less than 1-hr later, he got 4 small stitches, and it was time to pay. Unfortunately, my wife leaving in a little bit of a panic, she left her purse at home. They told her it would be $1,200....ouch, but not too far from the high side I was thinking, so ok whatever. The woman told my wife it was fine to come back in the next couple days to make payment. OK, great! However, when returning a few days later to make the payment she was told that the final bill for the hospital visit alone would be more than $3,100 + a Physician bill for $950+ totaling over $4,000 for 4-stitches on a wound that wasn't even bleeding. Again, this wound could have been patched up with less than $1 in butterfly bandages. The woman told my wife, "Sorry about that but the $1,200 was just an estimate". Seriously, you were willing to take payment in full for $1,200 on the day it happened. WTF...in what other industry or business can you tell your customer the cost would be $X and then charge a customer nearly 400% more?!!! Verry deceitful practice! I'm guessing they assume everyone in Incline is rolling in cash and wouldn't even flinch at the bill. If that's you, congratulations! However, if you're an average person that doesn't enjoy being taken advantage, financially raped, and respect honest people, I highly suggest you go anywhere else.

I decided to join my daughter messing around at the Incline Village skatepark and some how ended up banging my elbow super hard. The hematoma would not stop and so I ended up at this hospital at 9:30pm at night this past Thursday. Jason was great as the nurse, the doctor was outstanding and a human being showing empathy, and the check-in person was excellent and took care of all insurance and billing. Couldn't say enough on what a relief to have this available 24/7!! Thank you Lord!!

We had to go to ER and the staff was spot on! We felt very safe and in good hands. Billing was a bit of a surprise as they wanted payment in full when we had insurance but it all worked out.

Here we are in Tahoe again, but unfortunately this time I had some significant chest pain that made me consider going to the ER. We arrived here not knowing what to expect, but I am COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY. This was by far the most pleasant, professional, and efficient visit to a hospital that I've had in my entire life. The entire team working tonight was phenomenal and took great care of me while giving me peace of mind. I could not have been anymore pleased with the treatment I received.

The ER may be great but the care providers are something else. I have been trying to get a medication refill for almost a week with no response. The doctor was very careful to tell me not to quit taking this medication since it could cause me to have a heart attack and die. Now why would she tell me this and then not keep my refills up. Sometimes I think the doctors here are on a vacation and not here to work. This has not been the first time that this has happen. Might as well not even have doctors available to the community.

After unfortunately impaling some nails through my foot I had to visit the emergency room here in incline village. The doctors were super speedy getting me into a treatment room. Joe was the first friendly face I saw. He led me to the room and followed with some questions. He made my visit very pleasant. He was very funny and had me laughing, even through the tetanus shot which I didn't even feel! The doctor was also very nice and helpful. Needless to say that in a case of emergency I will without doubt be going back to this emergency room.

I had the best experience at this hospital! I was seen here recently in the Emergency Department. Having a lot of medical issues and injuries over the past few years I have been in and out of ERs more than I can count! DR. Andrews and the nurse Molly were absolutely wonderful! I truly felt like they cared about my comfort and treated me like a family member. The hospital is very pretty and clean! I highly recommend IVCH if you need medical care!
