So enjoyed meeting Karen and her lovely shop - so friendly & inspiring. Love the quilted table runner I purchased. Just had to revisit the next day with friends to make a few more purchases of her beautiful gift items. Will definitely make it a priority to stop by again on my next visit to Incline. Karen, you're 5 Stars in my book.

Gem of a store! We have been to the store twice in the past six months and LOVE the handmade items from local artisans including the owner. We purchased a hanging wall quilt that is the Tahoe mountains and meadows. It is gorgeous. And I am in love with the wire wrapped silverware serving pieces. I think I bought out the entire inventory or close to it. So cute and also great for gifts. I also bought Fall and Winter quilted pinecones for decoration. And a ceramic mug with Tahoe on it. And handmade ceramic heart earrings. And who knows what else! I love this store.

I visited this shop while on vacation, the owner has amazing handmade items at her shop especially her quilts and table runners. Her work is spectacular. She also made a custom order for me which turned out fantastic. Would definitely recommend stopping by.

My husband and I spotted this gem of a shop during a day of exploring Lake Tahoe, and I'm so glad we did! We stay at our family's cabin in Tahoe City every year, and I'd been disappointed by the lack of reasonably-priced handmade goods & souvenirs available in that area. Most handmade artwork/pottery/home decor we found started at $50, and since I wanted to buy gifts for multiple people, that was just a little too pricey for me. I appreciate the work that goes into handmade pieces, but I like a wider price range to choose from depending on the item(s). Handmade at the Lake has a wonderful variety of small-to-medium (but gorgeous) home decor items, such as coasters, table runners (patch-worked & quilted by hand!), ornaments, delicate jewelry, magnets, and mini paintings in the $10-$50 range, plus larger handmade & quilted wall-hangings, wooden & metal wall art, BEAUTIFUL pottery, and other artisan pieces in a higher price range for folks looking for really unique, one-of-a-kind gifts and treats for themselves. I purchased a hand-cut metal ornament, a glazed decorative pot, a cute Tahoe-themed screenprinted t-shirt for a friend's baby, and a glazed tile depicting a Tahoe area waterfall (can be used as a hot plate or wall art) all for under $90! The gentleman who was working, Paul, was a great conversationalist. He informed me that his wife owns the shop and created the quilted items artfully arranged throughout. He also gave me some background on the glazed pot I purchased, and mentioned that all of the items for sale are locally-made. Having worked boutique retail for over a decade, I know how difficult it can be to run a small specialty shop, but they are rocking it! Handmade at the Lake's friendly staff, lovely merchandise, and reasonable prices make the store a lovely place to find gifts & unique treasures, and I can't wait to come back next year!

Wonderful shop were you support local area artisians. No imports here. Beautiful hand crafted quilts - ceramics - jewelry - soaps - artwork. Too many beautiful products to name!
PLEASE DISREGARD THE NEGATIVE REVIEW FROM Bri B. She is a rude person who has no respect for store rules of store owners. I am a local and a customer of this store. Lake Tahoe residents like myself are sick and tired of these rude and nasty tourists that think they can act any way they want to. Go home Bri B and stay there until yo can LEARN SOME MANNERS!!!

I really wanted to go here based on others reviews. But when my husband and I arrived it was closed. According to the website and sign on the door it was supposed to be open but it wasn't. It was 12:26 pm on a Wednesday. Bummer.

My wife loves this store. I can always find something unique and locally made, here, as a gift for her or family. She always picks up my favorite scented soaps from here.
