Stay away from this bank. I had a CD here with the maturity date was on a Monday a holiday so I came in Tuesday to move the money to the checking account. Instead of them them rolling the CD account into the checking account they instead took a $200 fee. I asked nicely for them to return it they refused to even during covid. The district manager is extremely rude and he does not care about his customers whatsoever. He never return my phone calls. Corporate couldn't be bothered either. Please don't expect them to help you with anything they are just like all the other big banks they don't care about their customers just excising fees from their pockets. Cash grabbing thieves. I left 91 negative yelp reviews. Somehow they managed to remove them all so here I am placing them one more time. So this time I'm leaving 200 reviews for every dollar they took from me.

They literally have 1 employee on most of the time. Nora. Nice lady, but too much for her. This is actually one of the better branches of a bad bank. The problem is that 1 decent employee cannot do the work many others are supposed to. At the end of the day, it is still a bad bank, which means that no matter how hard your local branch tries, at the end of the day, you can easily have a bad experience. High tides make all boats float, and that's what this bank needs. Better systems. Better remote employees. This bank works out of lackadaisical Oregon, a beautiful state that leans to the lazy side of life. (just visit OR, and you'll see what I mean) So keep in mind his is not the type of efficiency machine you may be used to in LV. Umpqua itself has great branding, but is a complete and total mess. Irresponsible like a 3 year old. For example, they cannot successfully send a bank card for the life of them. This bank has extraordinary mail theft and identity theft issues, and unlike Wells Fargo and Chase Manhattan, they won't give you the courtesy of a traceable FedEx or UPS package if you say you didn't receive your card. No, they'll keep delivering your papers straight to mail thieves using the cheapest USPS shipping. No tracking. Obvious that there's a card inside. I talked the postmaster at my local USPS, and he said the mail thieves are likely intercepting Umpqua mail directly in Oregon -- before it has chance to go anywhere else. Oregon is apparently soft on criminals, so this type of thing only grows as they get away with it. Swell! So Umpqua is a bank that will make their problems your problems. Identity theft problems are significant and costly. Not cool. They'll even freeze access to your money while they work on issues they themselves caused. So you get double damage. Real nice. World's lamest bank! I'm sure a class action is in the cards. When reporting an issue, good luck with them remembering it. They do not seem to have good note taking capacities, so there's almost no continuity of care. Too much talk, especially repetitive talk to do even simple things. If you like explaining the same things ad nauseam, this is the bank for you. For people with nothing better to do, it's just ace. You'll just bloody love it. Needs to be brought to task by the FTC for advertising the "best bank in the world" rubbish. Both Barclays and Virgin bank in the UK are in every way superior, and I'm suse here's plenty more stateside. Chase isn't as good as world banks, but they certainly are above Umpqua. I hesitate to recommend HSBC, but they're also a world bank that is a step above. A bureaucratic nightmare, but at they enable you to do business in and/or live in almost anywhere in the world. That's pretty cool and almost worth the trouble.
