I have been taking my pugs to see Dr Jones for a few years. I used to think he caring & a good vet, but on 4/29/24 (Good Friday) I took my dogs in to get their ears checked and for allergies. Dr Jones told me their vaccinations were overdue. I said that I didn't like giving them because they've reacted poorly in the past with nausea, vomiting. He said, " Well I know they don't bite, but if they were ever to bite one of my techs." I agreed to have them vaccinated (Rabies). I got home and noticed one of my girls couldn't stop panting and one area near her eye was swelling. Then she went on the patio and started scooting on her bottom like her anal glands were full. I looked at her bottom and noticed her little pee-pee was swollen and blistered. I call Parkway and they said to bring her back. It was horrific trying to get from my home which is near Bld Hwy & Sunset through all the traffic. Now her whole face was swollen and she was struggling to breath. When I finally arrived they took her back to Dr Jones. about 20-30 minutes later they had me pay my bill for bringing her back then his tech brought her out to me. She was still having difficulty breathing and I could hear a coarse wheezing. She would try to cough but it was more like chocking. I told the tech that she wasn't breathing right repeating myself several times but she kept saying, "he said "you need to keep her calm, she's just upset." I insisted and she told me to take her outside and go sit on a ledge in the parking lot with her to see if she'd calm down. I didn't make it to the ledge before I came back in and asked to see the Dr. I was told he was already in surgery. WTF!!! I am a well-seasoned RN that has worked years in trauma and every kind of critical care. This vet did not take care of the emergency he never even started an IV which is one of the 1st things you do in cases of shock along with giving epinephrine. I looked at my bill and saw he did give her intramuscular epinephrine, Benadryl, and a steroid--he couldn't have reassessed her or she wouldn't have been sent back out to me dying. I called another vet (Warm Springs Animal hospital) and told them what was going on and that she was in respiratory distress, they said to bring her quickly; so, I did. I was again in a panic trying to get through the traffic on Warm Spring while my baby was suffocating. She tried to stretch her front legs out and raise her behind to move air but she couldn't. When I finally got there they started an IV and sedated her with my permission. I was told she was not doing well and they brought me back to see her. She was sedated with a large oxygen cone to her face and her feet were wrapped in cooling towels. I could see her stomach and ribs retracting with each breath and I finally had to let her go to the Rainbow Bridge- I called Parkway while I was leaving the parking lot told them I couldn't believe they sent her out to me in respiratory distress and that I just had to put her down. the receptionist apologized and I said I just wanted them to know. An hour or so later they called back, it was the tech, she tried to tell me Dr Jones said my girl was doing fine when he sent her out. I reminded her of our conversation and how she told me to sit on that ledge to calm her, I could tell she was at a loss for words because there was no denying it~ The Dr Jones never spoke to me- not when I brought her back up, not when he discharged her, not when he knew she was dead. (weak man!) He didn't take care of her reaction, he just pushed her out so he could get into surgery-it must have been an inconvenience to him. Never go there, he doesn't care and his tech trying to cover for him! How Disgusting! I picked up my beautiful girls ashes yesterday, I'm just heart broken over her untimely & unnecessary death-I hate she had such a hard death thanks to Dr Jones! I have to add a star to post this- it should be minus all the stars!!!

Today I went in with my new pup that I had adopted. The rescue folks said take the pup over to Dr. Jones at Parkway springs animal hospital which has been mt vet for many years now, and the rescue would pay for the visit to get remaining shots and a chip. I made the appointment a week ago so they could call the rescue and get permission for this upcoming appointment! I go in now for this appointment today 3-18-2024 which was made a week ago and found out nobody called the rescue to approve this appointment or got my pup's medical records! Then when I check out one lady was sweeping the floor and the other was standing there adorning her nails on her hand! I asked three times so I don't have to pay for this visit right? When the two ladies didn't respond to me I left! They didn't seem to care about me or my new pup today!!! Which is very sad!!!

Dr. Jones is so amazing with my littleRescue girl Penny. She’s had 2 surgeries someplace else to remove her mammory gland chains, then left one small tumor (cancer) and I brought her to Dr Jones and he did an amazing job! She’s elderly, has several health issues, but he takes the time to listen, he’s compassionate, and he doesn’t look at our furr babies as a pay check (I know Its his job but you know what I mean). He’s very reasonable in his prices, from visits to medicine to surgery. I was so scared for my baby to get her last surgery and she’s perfect! Thank you to all of you there to give me more time with my penny girl! I’ll never go to another vet, even tho he’s 20 min from my house!

Dr Jones is an excellent doctor and very caring and knowledgeable. I can't say enough about Jennifer and Jade that work the desk. They are kind and caring and very hard workers.

I’m a working mother of 3, lost my husband in 08 to a car accident and have been making my bills and rent and so on by myself. Working two jobs and because of the inflation I had to ask to make payments to this vet to save my new little kitten I rescued from the street. I was denied, he told me he was ripped off by a few customers so he charged me for the visit and one low dose of antibiotics for my baby who had a 107 fever. If I was not working two jobs I could apply for benefits but just because I choose not to live in poverty but still don’t have enough for a 500 dollar deposit doesn’t mean I should be put into the group of people who rip off others. It was very upsetting as they told me to just put him up for adoption like I don’t deserve to have a pet? I pay my debts and work hard! I continue to contribute to society and my kids are amazing kids and students. I hope that this vet will not judge others as he has put a significant burden upon me as I must make a decision to give up my pet and upset my whole family so my kitten won’t die just because this vet couldn’t way till I got paid at the end of the week. This is just horrible!

This is a wonderful place to take your pets. The staff is very friendly and helpful. After calling several vet offices in the area I finally got an informed response to my questions. I got an appointment quickly for my pregnant dog and they helped me during the whole process from the ultrasound, X-rays, puppy health checks and shots. I feel lucky to have found this animal hospital and would highly recommend them! Thank you for taking great care of my dogs and puppies

Highly recommended. Staff is super friendly and considerate, especially Jen (I hope I did not misremember the name). Dr. Jones was extremely patient, thougtful and kind. He took his time to explain everything to us and did not pressure us into doing any unnecessary tests. Overall a very wholesome experience on all fronts.
