First me and my now wife payed and booked a lake view room for our Honeymoon. They gave us a room on the 2nd floor facing a wall with trees!! Then the rooms furniture stabbed me because the dresser screws were half out our not the right ones. Then the maid service was just horrible didnt change the sheets barely made the bed and didn’t really clean anything. Very disappointed with Hilton!

We've stayed here maybe 6 times. It's pretty, very Tuscan looking & has some nice views. The hotel has higher end features, decor & marble flooring. If I'm remembering correctly, this was originally built as a Ritz-Carlton. But it is lacking in other ways. We like Henderson, & Lake Las Vegas, & we like that there's no casino or stinky cigarette smoke at this hotel and that's why we stay here.
So let's get into the draw backs. Unless using valet, which I'm not even sure is actively available at the moment, I could be wrong.... The main way you enter the hotel is through the garage. The garage elevator is scary, mechanically questionable. It hesitates and it's bouncy & seems to always be in need of cleaning. We sometimes take the staircase, I refuse to hold on to the handrails. They look extremely dirty & there's often a lot of garbage around the area. I realize this is not just the parking structure for this hotel, but it's what connects them through a walkway/breezeway, and it would be nice if they coordinated with property management to make sure things were clean and running efficiently.
The entrance to the hotel from the garage is down a breezeway and next to the stairs that lead to their garden, as well as the main shopping, dining and lake. The moment, you open those doors you're hit in the face with a foul sewage smell. It follows you all the way to the lobby and front desk check-in. Our room was at the other side of the hotel & up a couple floors & while the stink wasn't as strong at the other wing, those hallways and the elevator shaft still had a noticeable sewage smell. I was hoping it would dissipate by the time we closed the doors to our room, but there was a residual smell of a sewage in the rooms as well. The rooms look nice with the marble bathroom. The bed was comfortable enough, but there were only three pillows for the king size bed which was for two people. The pillows flattened out pretty easily. There were no other pillows or blankets in the closet. That is very unusual for any hotel/motel, but this is supposed to be a nicer hotel and I was a little surprised at the lack of creature comforts as far as bedding goes.
Another thing that seemed strange on all our visits is the lack of staff. Usually the only people that we ever see is the one or two people at the front desk when we come in. I've never seen any cleaning staff, not to say that they're not there. I think where the disconnect for me is, this looks to be a luxurious hotel with fine trimmings, But honestly the quality of service and amenities, is far less than what we've received at the standard cookie cutter Hilton chain of resorts that you can find at most highway off ramps. The Friday we came was probably the busiest we've ever seen it, but that isn't saying much. There were many families with younger kids in the hallways and in the lobby as we entered. Although, I don't know if the people we saw were staying at the hotel. There were some Halloween events going on in the lake shops area and I think people we're using the bathrooms that were off of the breezeway in the hotel to prepare for the evening. The hotel had the bar in the lobby open for the first time we've ever seen it open during a visit. There were a lot of people in there partaking in the bar, and sitting in the lounge/ lobby. Still, even with a bartender and guests, there didn't seem like there was any more staff.
I love this location and there is so much potential to be a great hotel. It could be very elegant, but it surprisingly lacks in creature comforts and hospitality. Honestly, if they don't figure out that sewage smell they're going to lose a lot of business on that alone.

My mother bought us a Group on for the spa and a massage for my birthday. We did not stay in the hotel rooms. First, they messed up the appointment time. They called to confirm we were booked for 10 am and we booked for 1 pm. They had to rebook us for 3 and 4 pm. The parking garage elevator is a bit jerky when stopping between floors, I'm not sure how well this is maintained. The village shops look very nice but we did not go down to them. We walked through the hotel and joked that it's the "fart lobby," the entire lobby smells like sewage and the smell does seem to be coming from the bathrooms next to the check in. The spa receptionist gave us our total after the group-on was applied and then reported she could not take card. I gave cash and then she reported they could not give change and that I would need to go back to the lobby to get it to get exact change. Also took the time to check her texts during the interaction. She gave us each keys for a locker and neither locker was properly set up - one had a dirty robe in it and the other was missing a clean robe as well. Many of the locks appeared broken, including the one on mine. Not at all secure, what's even the point of the locker? So also not properly maintained. The relaxation room was nice and had water and hot tea. The sauna, pools, and steam room were all in working order. Mouthwash and lotion were provided in the restrooms. The actual massage and masseuse was lovely, and with the amenities being in working order (as I'm reading many reviews that state they were not told it had been closed for renovations), I feel the actual services deserve stars.

Hotel is nice, but could use some updating. There are no lights at the main entrance to the hotel, so hard to find at dark. Entry from parking garage to hotel lobby smells like moldy sewage carpet that smells like they try to deodorize daily. Pool is closed from October-April but we don’t know it until we checked in. We booked months in advance and never knew this would be the case. Our biggest complaint is there was a triathlon on the main road that shut the road down for over an hour and we missed part of an event last Sunday morning that we specially came in town to attend. Had we not found a nice guy to let us cut in between some bikers we would have missed it entirely. The hotel didn’t tell anyone upon check in or in later communication. When I called the hotel, they said the Westin put it on and they had no idea. I have a hard time believing the Hilton had no clue their road would be shut down without notice.

Rooms: The rooms are nice but need updating. There are not enough electrical outlets in the rooms and there is deferred maintenance. The biggest problem was noise. They had a wedding in the courtyard and the band was loud. You can also hear people sitting on the deck outside the lobby.
Walkability: There is absolutely nothing within walking distance.
Noteworthy details: The pool area is pretty but we could only see it from behind a fence, since it was closed. Despite this, the hotel charged a resort fee even without use of the resort facilities.

One of my favorite Hilton properties to stay, great rooms and staff... and I stay in Hiltons nationwide every week, I recently had an event at this hotel, Moe and the whole team took great care of our group, top notch class act, thanks Moe and all that was involved.
