Some prices are just right, some are way high for subpar items. Do your research before you buy. Staff is super kind. This location sells guns. Seems odd in the middle of a city to buy a shotgun. Kayaks sold here are lifetime brand. Ok for small things but not the best and about 50 to 200 overpriced. Great place to get kids gear for the first time. After that they will want the best of the best and they don’t sell that here so 4 stars it is.

Went there to buy a tent and was treated like something they dug out of their ear. Didn't even try to be helpful just hostile. Especially the guy in sporting goods. This will bother me enormously and I'd love to know why I deserve d such terrible treatment. Leaving the store and the cashier on the phone with security, "He's leaving now." I'll never go back to that store.

I went into big 5 recently and I was just absolute shocked about how friendly the staff, was not only was i helped fairly quick but I also was helped and greeted with incredible customer service by Tailyn when getting my shoes he was an amazing help and he was able to make the exchange go smooth I definitely recommend anyone in the Henderson area to go to this big 5

Immediately greeted upon walking in. Wanted to exchange footwear that I bought few months ago and did not have a receipt. Was worried I wouldn't be able to do an exchange because of the long time lapse. Associates kindly obliged with no issues. They went to the backroom to get the right size while I waited at front counter. In and out in minutes. Professional and very helpful associates today at this location.

Nice store, products, and staff.The prices though... it felt like the garments & price tags were on fire. They burned my hands every time I turned a tag over to read the prices.Even in the clearance section! The prices were so high that the only thing clearing out of there was me.
