Where is the zero star rating? Other than my account rep Alex Adams, these people at BofA have zero clue. I applied for a Merchant Services account to handle our e-commerce for our data-driven sports betting resource tool that helps bettors make informed decisions when placing bets by using our service. We are not a sportsbook and do not handle any wagers. It's more SaaS and data analytics for sports bettors. We were approved on 8/29/22 during the interview process where I provided details regarding our services to differentiate that we are not a gambling site even though Sports Betting is Federally legal as of 2018. That's besides the point...revenue loss for BofA. Fast forward to the integration part...My frustration grows as I try to navigate the process with my Dev team to integrate the gateway for payment processing. The E Commerce - Merchant Implementation Guide and the Bank of America Gateway Integration Guide are thorough but there should be a high level Step by Step Timeline Road Map to navigate the entire process as its unclear 'when' to do steps and which comes first. After multiple calls with 24/7 support (who just read from manual), technical support (who aren't much help) and activations team that is hit or miss. They need a lot of work for this branch of service and I was told multiple times that they don't have many people using e-commerce payment processing. It showed. I get an auto generated letter on 9/12/22 saying that our MS account has been closed with no details as to why...just a vague response that we failed to meet one or conditions. How nice of them to send a auto generated later two weeks after getting approved and paying my Devs to figure out their lengthy integration process. Really professional. Needless to say, you see by the reviews here on Yelp that if you need Merchant Services, look elsewhere.

Heed my warning. Do not use BAMS for your credit card processing! They will not protect your assets. They will redirect your funds to anyone that sounds they have authority over your company without notifying you (or after the fact). You trust your hard earned money with this people, but they just give away your money like it's theirs to give. Terrible. Lost $$$ in the thousands.

Bank of America Merchant Services is the worse company to deal with. They will constantly want you to upgrade your equipment and when it does not work they will tell you that you have to purchase new equipment. If you try to cancel they will continue your contract and charge you for additional months. Stay away from this company.

Morons! As typical of the Bank of America Enterprise, they place internal goals and hiring/firing metrics over the businesses they service. I opened my account in May 2019. Still nothing received as of Aug 2019 so I cancelled. These idiots still charged my bank account for services never rendered. I found out that my BAMS rep left the company halfway through my onboarding process. My relationship was not transferred and the underwriting process is cumbersome and outdated. I signed up for Square and had my processing hardware within a week. Dispicable company. This whole bank needs to be broken up and Brian Moynihan needs to be locked up.

I deposit my pay check. Like always. Normally it take about one business day to be posted. But to i deposit it and its saying its being held because it may be returned. So now i hat to wait till the 7th of june to get my funds. This is bull... I have rent that's due on THE 1st!!! And a car payment due same day! I cannot be waiting all this time for them to release my funds that long, who is going to pay my late fees??? Im sure they won't. I should of just gone to the Rainbow casino and cashed it. I would of had my money in hand right there. I will be closing my account after this problem. After 23 years of being a customer im done!

For anyone looking for a merchant account please stay away from Bank Of America Merchant it is a SCAM. They make it look so easy and it might seem fair price for your clover device but believe me they are ripping people off. They will sign you up for a long term contract and you won't be able to get out of it for a long long time. I closed my store last year and I called BOA Merchant customer service to close my account immediately after I shut down my business. They were unable to cancel my account unless I pay over $500 cancellation fee so now I'm stuck to monthly fees until next year. They should be more supportive of small business as we are the ones who work hard to make the magic happen ... but instead they will lure you in and if your business doesn't go according to your plan you will be stuck with long term fees. There are many other companies out there to chose from .... This is my experience and I would like to share with everyone. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

I wish i could give less than 1 star. This is the biggest rip off concerning merchant services. They come in to get your services. Lots of pressure. Then after you figure out how much the processing costs 3-4 times if you shop. Then after you return the equipment they keep charging you 50$ month foir the equipment saying the don't have a record of you returning it. Absolute scum bags Bank of America. DO NOT USE any of their services.

If I had an option for ZERO stars, I would have picked it. We've been processing with BofA Merchant services for decades, under a special agreement with one of our suppliers. In January, they raised the rate from 2.97% to 3.6%, breaking our agreement. It may not sound like much, but on one transaction, they made the difference between 2.3 interchange rate and 3.6 rate they charges - a full 1.3% on a $45,000 charge. That's $585, folks, for doing nothing. This company is so greedy and unethical I'm going to move my banking business somewhere else, even though we've been banking with them for decades.

Do NOT do business with Bank of America merchant services. When you sign up with them, they will tell you that your fees will be less than 2%. However, they have a LOT of hidden fees. Even when you ask them directly about the fees, they don't give you a clear answer. They tell you that many of the fees will vary. Then they tell you that the fees are not hidden because it's written in the fine print of your contract. As an example, the last transaction I ran with them before cancelling was for $650. They charged me $65 in fees for the one transaction. There are a ton of other merchant services available. Avoid Bank of America merchant services at all costs! I am not the only one that feels the same way. Just do a search for their online reviews. Nearly every review is negative - see for yourself.

I appreciated Bank of America until i signed up with Merchant Services. They sold one service, and bait and switched for something i never agreed upon. They have fees on top of fees. The agent who sold me the credit card processing, has never returned one phone call or email, post selling me on the product. I have over $1,200 in fees which have accumulated over time. Been working on getting this fixed for six months and getting nowhere. I'm frustrated and lost faith in Bank of America because of this occurrence. When a corporation is pulling fees out of your bank account, unauthorized, this is theft. I since terminated Merchant Services, but the $1,200 was taken out of my account and I surely could use that money, I'm self employed. My review is: don't use Merchant Services with Bank of America. If you think Bank of America will have your back because you're a valued customer, they won't. They are two different entities.

Total scam. I banked with B of A for over a decade. I set up my credit card processing with them and started getting hit with "Non-Qual" sales fees which caused my effective processing fee to shoot upward of six (6!!!) percent. I called and they told me, in effect, to go screw myself. You are a fool if you do business with these people.

So happy the ATM is still here, the building is in tact but the inside is hollow. Just go if you're gonna do something small, there's no one to help you out either.
