A great little visitor center located along the main street through Goldfield. Need to check for hours of operation, however, there are several additional amenities that are open even when the center is closed. First, there is a large parking lot to the rear of the visitor center with amble parking space for semi-tractor trailers, oversized RVs, and vehicles of almost any size. There are two bathrooms in the parking lot with running water and flushing toilets. There is a dog park close to the visitor center and a free water pumping station nearby. You can also park here for free while exploring the sites of Goldfield.

Dog park, bathrooms, long parking spots for campers/trailers, free water pump just outside dog park gate. Very thankful to find this place! Gemfield turnoff just to the north has beautiful dispersed camping with Joshua trees, burros, bright stars at night, and brilliant sunrises and sunsets. We did not find gas in Goldfield.

We came at closing (just to use outside facility) and the gentleman at the center walked over to tell us they were closing but, he wanted us to come in and see the center. Very nice guy! We enjoyed the displays and the city chat very much.

Learned a great deal about the area and life in the past. Would recommend everyone take the time to stop in and learn the history of the area.

well what can i say. Rest area bathroom stank, was filthy. Door would not lock and no towels or TP.

Nice little rest stop the bathrooms are always clean when I stop here they do have a fence doggy area
