After a horrible experience at my previous bank, I contacted NSB and set up an appointment to open a new account. The process was very quick and painless. Joe, the assistant branch manager, attended to me. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and polite and answered all my questions (which was a huge improvement from being talked down to and treated as a burden by the branch manager of my prior bank down the street). All-in-all, the process took about thirty minutes from sitting down to walking out the door. It would be nice if NSB offered personalized debit cards, but that's it of the hands of an individual branch.
