“Overall a great experience, so I gave it 5 stars. Nice robes, towels, comfy beds, friendly staff. As a fellow business owner I would suggest three things. 1 Add sliding barndoors to the rooms instead of the curtain between the bedroom and bathroom. 2. Mark the light switches 3. Change the highend steakhouse to barfood and breakfast to match the casino and music venue. Food was amazing, but expensive.”

“The room was very clean so was the facility. Value was there & location was perfect! The only down side was the whole virtual checkin, my older uncle was with me & he wouldnt of figured out what to do if i wasnt there. There was at least 2 other people there trying to figure things out. The rooms need some art work or something. Great place to stay overall.”

“The room has character with warm timber, and is well appointed with appliances. Parking is right in front of the cabin. Location is convenient and right across from the Lake. Couldn’t be happier with our choice.”

“Staff was very friendly. Helped me out with a lock box check in after hours. Great communication. Room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Safety: No issues at all. Nice quiet safe place.

Walkability: Great central location to Tahoe City.”

“We stayed on the beach side, not waterfront but super close to the beach. Our room was darling. The decor was really cute. It was very clean and loved that it had a nice little kitchen. Very comfortable. We would so go back again and hope to go back again! Please note we were told every unit is a privately owned unit so they’re all gonna vary. It’s not a standard motel hotel.”

“Great place, great location. Loving to stay there everytime we ski North Tahoe… Amazing hotel and pool. Close to Northstar, Diamond Peak,… perfect with the family. Ps: pls put a real duvet for the bed, not some synthetic fabric…”

“Very kid friendly resort with good amenities, activities, and a good location. The game room was a hit, although I am not sure if they keep it year round or if it was a holiday type setup. The heated pool and DJ Joolz were also highlights, and the on site food options are pretty good.”

“We had a great time here. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Thank you for taking care of us. It was time and money well spent.

The place has all the outdoor hangout amenities. Hot tub, paddle board, canoes. There is a private boat you can charter (extra $) as well that you can get on right at the private dock.

Full bar, drinks etc. plenty of parking and about a 20 minute drive or shuttle ride from the ritz to the club house.”

“We LOVED this place. Stayed for a week in the best room overlooking the lake with nobody to walk past our room, on the second floor. The pier was nice, amenities like the rec room and boats were fun, the rooms were well kept with some nice stuff like coffee, cooking gear and lots of towels, and the heaters were nice and hot in the evening. It's very close to gas stations, Safeway (2 minute walk), and lots of shops and several parks on the beachfront.

Our coffee pot was broken when we arrived and they brought a brand new one within the hour. The housekeeping was very good too.

I want to come back here on another vacation when we can, wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Rooms: 1, 2 and 3 bedroom options. We had the two bedroom and it was a great size for 3 people. Living room has couch with pullout bed.

Nearby activities: Several parks nearby. Lakefront property with boats and paddle board to use. Boat, sailboard and skimboard rentals nearby. 30 minutes from Northstar with several rental shops less than 10 minutes away from club.

Walkability: Very close to lots of shops and Safeway.

Food & drinks: Coffee was provided.”

“We loved our stay at Tahoe Sands. It’s hard to get lake side rooms due to high demand. We got a mountain side cabin which is across the street from the lake.
The reception timings are very restrictive which limits the time you can enjoy the board games or any sports equipment. Or you have to take the equipment/ games during the open times so that you can use it after hours. It will be great if the office is redesigned so that some areas can be kept open for guests after hours.

Noteworthy details: Fully equipped kitchen. Ample parking. Close to kings beach and food joints nearby. Kayak rental for 20 bucks which is worth it. Other places it’s 40-50.”

“It was a great stay! Shoutout to Emily and Jay from the front desk and Chris from Valet. They went above and beyond to make me and my family have a great stay. They were so friendly and really made us feel at home.”

“My wife and I stayed at Rustic Cottages last year and loved it, so we wanted to try their other location this year. We were not disappointed! The cabin we stayed in this year, Cottonwood, was roomier than our previous one, and all of the amenities are the same as Rustic Cottages! They have movies to borrow, board games and yard games for fun, and souvenir coffee mugs. The breakfast is among the best continental breakfasts I have experienced. The location is serene, yet has easy access to all of North Lake Tahoe's attractions and shops. We didn't get a chance to try the pool, but it looked nice and clean. It was definitely popular with other guests. With the friendly staff, quiet and cozy rooms, and wonderful location, we will definitely be back again!”

“Our stay was great. Booked a room on the spot for under $200 a night on a weekend. The room itself its not a luxury stay but its a nice stay where you feel like you are at your grandmas house, feels homey. You have everything you need. In addition, the rep at the front desk Niel was so accommodating, big ups to him! Would definitely stay here again.”
