This is such a fun experience! Lynzie is always pleasant, fun, knowledgeable & very helpful! Even though she demonstrates step by step, how to create these lovely paintings, she visits us all, provides tips & encouragement. Good vibes & fun for all. I'm always amazed at my end results...So fun! Thank you?

I run a meetup group, and used to go with my group-friends to painting classes at Van Gogh & Vino, when it had an actual location. Currently, the owner and instructor, Theresa, can be hired for in-home classes, and so I hosted a very small, in-home class (and brunch) for some girlfriends. First, Theresa is still fabulous at teaching class! She is sweet, patient, funny, and understanding with all levels of artistry-- including us "artistically-challenged" folks. ;) Not only did she teach at our pace; she also created a painting that was doable for us, and that allowed each of us to feel successful. (She will even walk around and help you out individually, if desired.) Moreover, I appreciated her payment setup! Theresa has a very user-friendly payment system that accepts credit and debit cards. The system is an online website, allowing each one of our participants to pay whenever she liked, and, as the host of the day, I TRULY loved that I did not have to collect money from everyone, and then pay in one lump sum. I will be hiring Theresa again for a similar painting party, and would highly recommend her for a brunch, group date night, bachelorette party, bridal shower, and/or birthday party!

I have been to Van Gogh and Vino in Carson City numerous times. Each time I paint a beautiful picture worthy of my walls. The teacher, Teresa, has always been attentive and helpful if I start to not like my picture. Teresa, has been very nice to everyone each time I have painted at her studio.

I have been to Van Gogh & Vino twice now.. The first time was amazing! The instructor would do one step and explain how to do it then walk around and help anyone who needed it and when everyone (or mostly everyone) was ready to move on she would go up and explained in detail the next step. My friends and I had a blast and went home with paintings we loved. Since I had such a good time I suggested that that my sisters, my mother, and I go for the mother's day cow painting as this was our first mother's day since losing our grandma and she loved cows. Unfortunately class was awful.. The entire time the instructor was 4 or 5 steps ahead and was not explaining what she was doing. We had to go find her a few times to help us as she was barely walking around to help people. It was both of my sister's first time doing anything like this and they were both extremely frustrated when their painting was not coming out how they wished and we all felt like we had no guidance. As class finished up quite a few people were still trying to finish and instead of helping those who were struggling the instructor was chatting with people who were finished. My sister was trying to finish up and we were literally kicked out because the instructor had to leave. I felt as though the entire class was rushed because she had other plans and when I got home I was so stressed out and upset that I had suggested this for my family. It was not a relaxing painting class. It felt like a painting marathon. It was the exact opposite of a wonderful mother's day painting class. I do not think any of us will ever be back.

Teresa the instructor was horrible! She raced through the painting, didn't give good instruction or any at all, and then kicked us out before we were done because she 'had somewhere to go' Don't waste your money on this hell hole! Buy a canvas and some paint then find a YouTube video and do it at home for free!

Theresa is a great instructor! She makes it fun and gives step by step instructions. And she helps "fix" any ness ups, so I always walk away with a painting I like. I've done 6 now.

I've slways wanted to try a painting class for as long as I could remember. The teachers are so helpful and make the experience fun. And they make you feel wonderful and that everyone can be an artist! Love it here and can't wait to bring my sister!

The Head Injury Association of Northern Nevada has now painted, with their members, on 3 different occasions. It's a great activity that brings joy and accomplishment when seeing the final results. They love it! Easy to follow instruction and Theresa is always their to help or show down a bit to help or have those that are limited with their disability, catch up. Fun to go with friends and family too or with a loved one for a date night. She does offer alcohol if you are craving that glass of vino!

Theresa is unequivocally the best painting-and-wine teacher out there! Theresa is a real artist, makes up her own designs, and teaches you techniques to make your painting look like hers without needing artistic talent or even spatial awareness. I've been to other studios where the "teacher" is really just an entertainer and their painting is worse than yours. At Van Gogh & Vino, you really want to come back and make more masterpieces! You can grab a bite at Red 395 BBQ before and she has liquid refreshments and snacks. The studio is nice, big, bright and cheerful. Van Gogh & Vino is a must do!
