Flew in from Southern California about 450 miles away Friday September 29th to purchase a Sequoia. Drove home the next day and parked in our garage. Wednesday night was showing the Sequoia to friends at night with overhead shop lights shining above. We noticed the clear coat on the left side was cracking and flaking off. The next day we texted Jaymes Adams the salesperson what we discovered. The issue was only visible with a light shining from above and nighttime. In daylight the issue was not visible so we sent Jaymes photos of the hood during daylight and nightlight. It was clearly visible with our photos the issue was visible only at night. Jaymes said he would speak with his management team. He asked us few days later to send more detail pictures so we did. I called him October 13 to discuss the issue and he basically said their management team felt we must have caused the damage. We told him we had the car for 6 days before discovering the issue and was not visible during daylight. When we picked up the Sequoia it was during the day and expressed no way we could see the issue with the clear coat. We told Jaymes we would take a video during the day and show issue was not visible. That was the last time he communicated with us as we email and texted him with no response. We concluded Carson City Toyota got almost 80k out of us so we're on our own.I contacted Toyota couple weeks later after not getting any customer service from Carson City and within couple of days Toyota called. We explained our issue and Toyota contacted Wondries Toyota 10 minutes away. Within an hour representative from Wondries Toyota called and said they would be happy to try to resolve our issue. Within half an hour I was at Wondries and the service drive manager John Han greeted me. I told him there was an hood issue purposely not telling him what it was because I told Jaymes it was not visible in daylight. Eventually I had to show him and he had to lay his cheeks on the hood at an angle before seeing the issue. He asked how long the Sequoia was sitting at Carson City before we picked it up and we didn't know. John expressed he would contact Toyota and let us know. We expected the worse because we didn't purchase the Sequoia from Wondries and why should they help us. Few days later John called expressing Toyota wanted us to take our Sequoia back to where we purchased it. John told Toyota we lived 450 miles away from Carson City Toyota. Then Toyota along with the Wondries management team concluded the damage was not out fault and agreed to paint the hood at no charge to us. We dropped off the Sequoia October 30th and got it back November 3rd with issue resolved. We couldn't believe the great customer service we received from Wondries Toyota team and the lack of customer service from Carson City Toyota team. It was like night and day, Carson City Toyota you failed us. After our purchase we received no customer service. We didn't purchase the Sequoia from Wondries Toyota and that didn't matter. Wondries Toyota took care of us because we're a Toyota customer. When you hear the name Toyota most equate that with quality and pride. Wondries Toyota enhanced that great Toyota reputation while Carson City Toyota did the opposite. The Sequoia was our 9th Toyota the worst experience ever from Carson City Toyota horrible so sad. If I was able to put less than one star I would but I needed one star to get this review started.

I had an appointment and yet still had to wait in excess of 15 min, standing until they finally noticed. I printed their "coupon" for an inspection and requested an oil change and tire rotation. 3 hours later they said everything was good. I mentioned that about a year ago a Lexus dealer told me I needed about $3k in wear parts maintenance, so Carson City Toyota telling me that everything "looked good" sounds more like they don't need or want any additional business. Upon reviewing the receipt I noticed that there was an incorrect oil type printed. I went back to the service individual who insisted that it was the correct oil and had me open the hood to look at the oil cap. Turns out that I was correct, the receipt state the incorrect oil used. He scurried away and returned saying the correct type was used, this is a clerical error. Clerical error? How hard is it to do? You do it everyday? Also, I marked the tires so I would know if they did a full rotation. I shouldn't have been surprised to find that they just did front to back, not the correct full rotation. Nice work. I drove to this shop from Reno thinking I'd maybe get a little better service. Nope. They're just as bad as Dolan and all the other racketeering businesses in Northern Nevada.

Today of all days the day before a heavy travel day... we waited from our check in time of 10:45 to 1:15 for a basic OIL CHANGE! Nothing was done in that time and NO ONE came to tell us that they were having service tech challenges... so rude and inconsiderate..I will NEVER AGAIN come here because of the lack of customer appreciation or consideration...

I went to get my car serviced earlier this week and was taken a back by the amount of time it took to do an oil change and tire rotation. The lobby was full of people taking naps my appointment was scheduled at 11:45am, and I did not leave until 2:20pm. If you come for a service, know that you may have to wait extra time for completion. Luckily they have a comfortable lobby with tea and coffee fully stocked. Plenty of friendly faces walking around and offering customers water. Bring a book or plenty of things to do. Patience means you have to wait

I recently purchased a 2023 Toyota 4Runner from Carson City Toyota from Dustin Torres and the whole experience was such a breeze from day one. They were able to find the make and model of suv I wanted, allowed me to put a down payment hold on it, and notified me as soon as it arrived to the dealership from Japan. Once I arrived I was in and out of the dealership within a few hours. Love my new car and I HIGHLY recommend purchasing your next car from Dustin.

Faith from the parts department went above and beyond! She restored our faith *hehe* in Toyota departments. We had gone to the Toyota in Vacaville, CA where we were given wrong parts even though the VIN number was provided for accuracy. I had even shown him the push pins that we needed in my hand. Faith easily pulled the correct parts and explained that the cabin air filter for prime is different than standard Prius and that the push pins we were given were for the front fender when we had specified that we needed them for the back. Furthermore, she offered her card with email for questions in the future to swap photos for desired parts for ordering in the future.

Good experience, they got my car for me and stayed good to their word. We drove to CC from LAS because the dealers in LAS had too much markup. LAS wanted thousands over MSRP and insulted my wife by trying to co Vince her it was not dealer markup...it was marker adjustment.Carson City Toyota got a car for me, honored the deal we made, got me in and out quickly and did a nice once over and paired out phones. The finance office has a touch screen desk so you read and sign everything electronically on the desk top...really cool. If you are looking for a car give Michael Weaver a call.

I will leave my poor buying experience for another day. My first service with Carson City Toyota left me more dissatisfied than with sales.I took my 2022 4Runner in for the 5000 mile service (It took 10 months to drive 4850 miles). I told them that the brakes squeal...and had for several months. After 3 hours they said my brake rotors were discolored due to "riding the brakes". I do not ride my brakes and have never had this issue in any vehicle I've owned previously. They basically called me a liar and that I'm responsible for the rotor overheating. They would not even consider any possible issues with the computer controlled braking systems (aka "safety systems") as these are the only differences between this vehicle and my previous Toyota vehicles. I have a 4Runner which has a braking issue Carson City Toyota will not address. Maybe I should just sell it!

so impressed & grateful for my experience here at Carson City Toyota! I had my "maintenance required" pop up on my Rav4 screen, & panicked to get it done before a big driving/travel week, I was able to get in to this location with happy & friendly smiles as soon as I pulled up by Kevin who was so helpful & received more enthusiastic smiles when I walked in which made me feel so comfortable at this dealership!Very often a lot of locations can't get you in same day, which I understand cause they're busy, people are on it & make appointments ahead of time.. but the friendly smiles & warm presence from Brianna & Jeremy made me feel so welcomed here! I got super lucky there was a slot open & am so appreciative they got me in to get my car serviced!Very grateful for the incredible customer service they provided, as well as all the other employees here that are so helpful & kind to everyone who enters this establishment.Found my forever dealership & already looking forward to scheduling my next service at this location! Thank you so much for exceeding my expectations & making my day!

I made an appointment to service my new highlander and get snow tires. 3 trips and 6 hours of wait time later, my car got what it needed. My first visit they failed to order my tires so all I could do was the 20k service and they told me to come back tomorrow for my tire swap. The next day, the tires failed to be delivered, so come back tomorrow. Third trip and after another 3 hour wait, I finally got the service my car needed.

With dealerships, most people dread. We had a great experience in the Carson City Toyota dealership compared to the Reno dealership. Less tax, no already added on items and overall a better price. They have someone who walks you through possible accessories but no pressure which was so nice. Their service center is open on Saturday and the Reno one isn't. Freddy is the person that started off with us and was so knowledgeable and helpful and it changed our view on working with a dealership. Highly recommend. My wife and I were very pleased.

Lol wanted me to leave a $1000 NONREFUNDABLE deposit on a car (truck) that i could not see, could not know the model year it would be or even the price or when it would even be delivered. How shady can you be? Bad enough trying to buy a car right now with all the markups, but you expect me to possibly go a year without a car and if i have to buy something else within that time, you're just gonna keep my money and then turn around and sell that car within hours at a markup? And even had the audacity to text me and tell me it's because they can't have inventory just taking up space on the lot. YOUR LOT IS EMPTY WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? That Tacoma wouldn't sit on your lot for more than a day and you know it. Just straight up liars. Bought a car in Reno the very next day instead. Now i will never look to your dealership again in the future. All so you could try to keep my deposit.

Great place to buy a car. Put in an "order" for a cat in February 2022, the salesman Wade was very transparent with the process that a 2022 RAV4 would take roughly 2-3 months to receive. He not only was spot on as it took 2.5 no this for my car to come into the dealership, he was very helpful and responsive through the entire process by letting me know updates on the car throughout the process. I highly recommend that if you are in the market for a new Toyota then give Carson City Toyota a call.
