One of the things my 30+ years working for Big Oil taught me was that the only thing that really distinguishes one gasoline brand from the other is the additives package. I also learned that since gasoline is a commodity and Refinery-based supply varies by operational reliability and maintenance schedules, you might sometimes be buying Exxon gas at a Valero station. My usual MO is to buy gasoline cheap and wherever that sells. Lately, I'm been feeling guilty about who's paying my pension and have occasionally reverted back to buy branded gasoline in general, and Shell in particular. Most stations are independently owned and operated, but must meet the brand's operations standards. That guarantees the look and feel of that brand. I can't explain any "demand pricing" model, but I do fondly remember a Shell Martine Refinery manager claiming (tongue and cheek) claiming that gas was more expensive in Martinez than Sacramento, because it was "fresher".Anyway, I fill up here occasionally with Fuel Saver card in hand This station is easy to get into and out, and has a nice clean and modern vibe. It does cost a little more (vs. the station next door to the North) and I have yet to try the car wash. Maybe there's a deal to had with a fill-up and a wash.

I went in yesterday to purchase gas and drinks.Yesterday was the anniversary of my mom's death. Due to the day, this is one of the few times a year I'll buy my kid things I usually don't. Normally we never buy energy drinks and rarely buy soda.I went in and saw that Monsters were on sale. I had my daughter and her friend help pick out a total of 4 - 2 of which are still unopened. At the register I ordered gas and advised the cashier that we were getting 4 monsters. Queue the questions - how many? Who are they for? How many will the kids be drinking? High blood pressure has been linked to teens and young adults that consume mass quantities of energy drinks.Ok... cool... but I'm grown and not asking for your opinion. Ring them up and don't forget the gas.She then asks if we are all sisters, and continues her lecture on energy drinks. My kid gets frustrated and starts to speak up, I tell her to ignore the cashier as her opinion is insignificant. She rings up our purchase and we proceed to the car.I go to the pump the gas - no gas. I go back in and ask her about it, and she says I never asked for gas.I did.... multiple times. But she was too busy debating on denying me the ability to purchase energy drinks and therefore never did her actual job.I can only imagine the drama that would have ensued had I tried purchasing alcohol as well.

Jean K the store manager yelled at my husband who is deaf. Then denied it. So I’m 86d out of the store and I really don’t care she should be fired for yelling at any customer. She yelled so loud that my ears are still ringing wish I had gotten it on tape

This review is for the new car wash only - doesn't work very at all. Don't know what they paid for the new equipment, but the old system cleaned my car better. I only did the deluxe wash, but my windshield is still dirty, and my back window is solid dirty (like zero water hit it at all), and the rear hatch back looks like only the dirt was rubbed around. The dryer starts up before you have the green light to move ahead, so you lose some dry time too. The system should be much better.

Food is good at the Deli but the service is horrible and who ever is running the Deli is undependable. They are supposed to close at 1:00 pm and by the time I get there at 12:30 they are closed. I don't recommend the Deli if you are trying to get lunch.

Got here at 8pm. The place was locked, lights on and no one inside, then a lady shows up to the counter. Doesn't open the doors. People stood at the door for a while until she decided to signal it's closed. Sign on the door says the doors close at 10pm.

Not only is the technology WAY out of date and you cant use wireless pay at the pump but the early morning workers are some RUDE old ladies. Hire people who actually wanna work there. Reminded me of going to the DMV.

After picking up lunch, passed by and noticed the gas was cheaper than the other stations.Of course, it's cheaper if you get the car wash...I've been traumatized on mechanical car washes...Pumps worked, but the floor could use a good steam cleaning at the pumps.

The folks working behind the counter here have always been so sweet and this time Dennis went above and beyond to be helpful in these Covid times. Thanks for helping work the carwash, Dennis!
