As a semi-experienced diver (50 dives), I was blown away at the professionalism of the instructor Steve Lind. I obtained an ‘Altitude Diving’ certification and had the pleasure of joining his group of Open Water students. Steve was the most informative teacher I have seen and learned a ton from his class. It’s refreshing to see someone genuinely enjoy teaching and having such a passion for diving. Thank you Steve for the life memory!

Very helpful and reasonably priced. I forgot my hood and needed one for a chartered dive. They suggested I rent one for $12 compared to purchasing a new one, which saved me quite a bit.

We rented some gear from Tahoe Dive Center while visiting from Oahu. When we pulled up we didn’t realize they closed at 4:30 (we got there at 4:35), but the owner Chris was super accommodating and actually came back to help us out. He patiently waited while we tried on some gear to buy, and got our purchases and the rental gear all processed quickly and efficiently. He was also really helpful when we had questions about high altitude diving and local dive sites. Returning the gear was easy too, and the employee working the next day was also super friendly and helpful.Overall we had a great experience with the shop, and will continue to patronize them when we come back to the area. They also carry some good quality dive gear, which is a nice bonus

I had a good experience renting here. They're kind of a no-frills operation, but that's to be expected considering this isn't a prime diving destination. We got stuck in traffic on our way back to them, and the employee agreed to stay at the shop for a few minutes past closing so we could return our gear, which we really appreciated.Their rental wetsuits are warm enough for summer dives down to about 40 feet. Below 40, there's a pretty big thermocline and you may want something warmer. They only had nitrox at 32%. Given that it's a high altitude dive, I would have preferred 36%, but that's probably my only complaint. Overall, I'd come back here if I ever dive Tahoe again!

I was in the Tahoe area during the late spring. I called several dive shops looking for a guide. Tahoe Dive Center was the only one to meet the challenge. Luba was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I highly recommend this business!

the shop owner was nice on the phone and said they had a ton of wetsuits available for rent. business hours are 9-5 every day but it was closed when we arrived. i would recommend calling the same day you need your wetsuits.

This is the place to go if you want to scuba Tahoe! Morgan was so accommodating on our last minute request for dives. He lives up to his “nice guy Morgan” nickname!

I rented my equipment here and dove with another team recommended by this shop. Top notch shop, great gear and amazing, knowledgeable staff. I enjoyed swapping stories with them! Will definitely use them again!!!

After completing an Altitude Diving course at Lake Tahoe, I came here to get a tank fill in case I decided to do another dive the following morning. The woman working behind the counter was friendly, but the shop itself was a little run down, and the tank fills were very expensive.

Was very rudely greeted by this lady today, maybe she just had a terrible morning but she was extremely rude. Was surprised to find out she works here. Would avoid this place unless you like bad attitudes. Plenty of better places in Tahoe with great service.Edit for their response:I live in town. I was there doing laundry next door and your employee decided to be extremely rude over a parking space when there was 30-40 open parking spaces. I had already been there for about an hour and she got so upset that I was parked with my door open while waiting for laundry, she decided to mouth off to me, directly in front of your business.Maybe instead of washing it aside you would tell your employee it is bad business practice to be so rude when you are directly out front of the business establishment.500 people have seen this review and over 50 have marked it helpful. I would suggest you discuss with your employee her attitude as I have no interest in ever visiting your business and I would suggest others to stay away based on your response and the experience with your employee.

While I was diving, one of my weight pockets came loose and fell out of my BCD. Thankfully, we were only at 20 feet in depth. The dive master tried to put the pocket back into my BCD, only to have it fall out again. I ended up carrying 10 pounds of weights around in my hands for the remaining 35 minutes of the first dive. Thankfully, I was only at 20 feet. A malfunction like this at 80 feet could have been disastrous. When I told the owner about the malfunction, he blamed me and told me I had too much weight in the pocket (which was only 10 pounds!). I have 235 dives and have used a lot of equipment. The malfunction was not my fault and I resented the implication. The malfunction was not my fault and even the dive leaders couldn't fix it.We dove 3 tanks on Lake Tahoe. The dive leaders were good, but getting people in and out of the water was chaotic and disorganized, largely due to the small size of the boat deck. A shore dive may be more enjoyable.

Had a great dive experience out at sand harbor. Matt was very accommodating to us noobies by answering all our questions as we are new to altitude. The dive team with Luba was great , very friendly and helpful during the dive with weighting and getting geared up.
