I'll relate my recent experience next, but to cut to the chase, T&H Paints is the place to go in Carson City for great quality automotive paint, properly mixed and a full line of supplies at reasonable prices with awesome service. I've been buying auto/motorcycle paints there for over 20 years and I'd say that even if it wasn't the only automotive paint store in town. (smiley face) A week ago I needed to re-paint a panel on my Italian Aprilia Mana motorcycle. The color was named "Passion Red" and I found the paint manufacturer's code on a dealer website. Normally, you take a paint code to a place like T&H automotive paints and they input it to a paint mixing computer that produces an exact match in a matter of minutes. Joe, the manager at T&H Paints, discovered my code was not in the paint mixing computer's memory. He offered to custom mix the color, if I could supply a part off the bike to match. It took a few days to fit the custom mix into his schedule, and when he did, he was not satisfied with the result and asked me to have a look at it. I'm no paint professional, but I do have a lot of experience working with fabric colors so I'm not a novice either. When I looked at the custom match paint dab on my sample part, in natural light, there was no discernible difference. I had to smile at Joe...for being a perfectionist well beyond the need for it. As for the cost, it was laughably low. I couldn't be more pleased with the entire transaction.
