Treats there staff terribly. Don't follow all rules and regulations. Cant keep teachers for a reason. Every time you pick your kid up and you see new staff just know that it’s because carol doesn't care about her employees and doesn't give them fair wages for dealing with childcare and bodily fluids. I suggest finding a different daycare for your children there’s definitely better out there.

A great place to work if you love children and are a dedicated employee.

Highly recommend this place. WOW. I can't say enough good things about Little Timbers. The staff treats your child like their own. I never had to worry when I dropped my son off. He enjoyed going and was so happy every time I came to pick him up. This place was our first experience with childcare and they have set the bar extremely high.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I brought my son here when he was an infant and they put him in the toddler one room before he was ready and claimed he was pushing other kids around. So they put him in a room where kids were so mean and horrible to him. He wasn't even walking yet and he was in a room with two year olds. The teacher put him on a playground because he wasn't yet walking and walked away then he fell off and I never received an accident report and that night I took him to the emergency room and he had a concussion! The next time I dropped him off I went to pick him up and he was in the restroom getting his diaper changed alone with the same gal that was moved from the other facility for hitting kids. I pulled him out and he will never go to day care again.

I wish I could give them zero stars. My son went here and was treated incredibly poorly. My son was bullied by older children and was being physically harmed. He came home with bloody scabs on his arms and legs every single day and now has scars. He was often picked up in diapers that were so full or wet that they were falling off in his clothes. I picked him up one day and he was wearing the same diaper I had dropped him off in. From 8:30am-5pm he was never changed. I complained to the director Carmen on a dozen occasion with zero change. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but he was not doing well. When I pulled him out they sent me to collections because I did not give a full two weeks notice. This place does not care about you or your children. They care about money and money only. I have moved forward with legal action towards them as well as filed with the state for investigation since I have documentation of every incident.

I took my daughter to Little Timbers for 4 years and had a great experience! With every facility, there are hiccups, I voiced my concerns and they were taken care of immediately, no hesitation! Pia, Travis and Carol were always great to myself and to my daughter! I highly recommend this facility. Thanks guys for such a great experience!

My concern has been adjusted and handled by Travis, it was in a very prompt and professional manner. Thank you Travis. I have adjusted the rating based on how quick my issue was resolved.—————I made the VERY poor decision to place a $100 deposit to enroll my toddler at little timber’s August of 2020. Let it be known I have never been contacted by the facility, I have always had to have been the one to reach out.The “potential” start date has been pushed back on several occasions, which I am sure they have enrolled new children since. Upon requesting my refund the first time, I was informed by an employee that my toddler could start that day, which I informed them I had already sound suitable child care and just wanted a refund.Corresponding with Carol, the refund is non refundable and the new “anticipated start date” is for this this summer.I highly encourage and recommend seeking a different facility. The lack of communication with parents is highly concerning. Pay the deposit at your own risk and learn from my mistake. I gave them a free $100.

After touring a variety of child care places in Carson and dayton, we were sold on little timbers. the differences start at the door (which requires an rf keytag to get into the place) so security is far better than the others i have seen that you walk in freely and have access to kids. The building is clean and well kept, Every member of the staff is awesome and polite, my kids love it there and the fact that they actually learn stuff while there makes me love them going there. And the tadpoles all gives you updates throughout the day, and pictures which always brighten the day. We always recommend them to friends as well
Oh and they have coffee in the morning, so thats a definite plus

**So my first attempt at a review was eaten by the Google monster (thank you for that!) However, that is not going to stop me from writing the review I came to write.**
We found Little Timbers after searching all over for a day care. As I'm sure anyone who is a parent knows, this is a painful and frustrating process as there is financial issues and availability concerns as far as the eye can see. All day cares are EXPENSIVE, but really it all comes down to what you can manage. Sound, practical judgment and all that jazz.
When we first found Little Timbers, we had the same concerns. However, once we stepped foot in the place I knew that we found the right fit. The staff were all very welcoming and wonderful, explaining their policies and even walking us through a normal day. The only thing that gave me pause was the previous assistant director (who, in so many words seemed like a detached and cold woman). However, that didn't stop us from jumping in head first. And I'm really glad we did.
Our son had a hard time with his speech when we first started taking him there. It was some kind of made of language that he started speaking and it was very “minion” like. However, we just couldn't seem to get him to speak regularly. But the staff at Little Timbers worked with us and helped us work with him in order to get him on the right track. Within a couple of months he was singing, talking and telling stories like no ones business! He still does too (much like his mother :-D).
When my daughter came along, they already had a spot waiting for her. Which was a blessing, because I was only able to take the six weeks off work before I had to get back to it. My husband and I both work full time and with two kids – well, you get the drift.
My kids have both loved, and still love, their time at Little Timbers. My son is now in Kindergarten, but still asks about Ms. Jenny (his pre-school teacher and a wonderful lady) and even comes in to say hi to everyone. My daughter (who is brilliant as she is sassy) has taken Carmen (once a former staff member and the new assistant director – a well deserved position for her) to be like her second mom. Whenever there is a problem she runs to Carmen like her feet are on fire. It's adorable as it is humorous.
And who could forget Ms. Alissa, who is young but always has a kind word or words of encouragement to parents and kids alike. She's there every morning with a smile and even shows concerned for a sleep deprived mother who comes in looking like death, but is dressed for work.
I've made friends at this place, both staff and parents alike and honestly I couldn't hope for a better place for my kids to learn to play and grow with their friends. I get regular updates in my email of pictures and end of the day reports so we can talk about their day at home and continue on with the things they learned there. It allows my husband and I the chance to still be 'there' even though we are working our tails off 24/7 it seems.
So I give them a solid 5 stars. Not based on price (because I think that's silly for a day care – they're all expensive and it's a pain in the but no matter where you go), but because the people that work there make a difference and actually care about the kids they take care of. I may complain that I've gotten another call from the day care because my kid has a temperature, but deep down I know that if they didn't call me I'd be a panicked mess. And hey, it's their job to inform as well as care for them.
Thank you Little Timbers. Thank you Carmen, Ms. Jenny, Alissa, all of the staff that moved on to bigger and better things, to Pia and Travis (the owners) for being so understanding, and to anyone else that I might have forgotten. I appreciate you guys. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.

Great daycare, great loving staff! My son love this daycare and all of his little friends and all the staff! I’ve never had a problem with this daycare. If i had/have any trouble with anything I can easily talk out the issues with the manager in a kind manner! Location is nice, outside area is nice, toys inside are nice! Great place(:

This place seems great on the surface but the employees ARE NOT highly trained and qualified. The employers dont have a clue how to run a daycare. They hire little high school drama queens to look after YOUR children and fire the few people that actually know what they're doing. 2nd in command only makes a little over min. Wage for killing themselves all day. Slave labor. As well as charging WAY too much even for employees. Little timbers should be ashamed of themselves and they are lucky they haven't gotten sued. Which is coming soon!

I love this place! My 2 year old daughter Bella has been going here for several months and although there was a slight increase in the monthly cost it’s by far worth it. They gave us about 2 or 3 month notice of the increase. The staff is highly trained and qualified. Doors are secure so not anyone can walk in and out but we have key faubs so that the teachers don’t have to leave the classrooms to open the doors.
Other daycares charge just as much if not more with a lower quality of care. All of the teachers are hands on and highly involved with the kids.
I love this school and would recommend to anyone and everyone! My daughter has a genuine connection too with Ms. Shelby who’s were main teacher. ? She does love all of them though and it shows!
