Zero stars if we could give them! Called to have a piano tuned. Owner was short and rude on the phone. He also wanted $175 to tune the piano, which I felt was a little high. But we decided to give him a try anyway. He got to my house 10 minutes LATE and my husband met him in the driveway to politely ask him to wear a mask while working in our home as our handicapped child cannot be vaccinated, so we are extremely cautious with her exposure to other people and he responded, "I didn't wear one when it was required!" What a Great guy! We asked him to leave and he complained and cussed us all the way out the driveway! Don't use this unprofessional j**** By the way, we have never had a problem with anyone when we ask that they wear a mask around our DISABLED child.

Delivered some parts here. David was very polite and I enjoyed talking to him. Very knowledgeable about his craft and I wished I could have seen that amazing player piano in the pictures on his page.

THANK YOU David's Piano services for taking the utmost care in moving my baby grand from Minden to Genoa. A crane was necessary for this job and Dave and his team executed it flawlessly! I highly recommend this company, and will use them again in the future!

We made the mistake of trying to move a baby grand piano by ourselves. Well, we got it into the trailer, but decided we needed help getting it out once we'd driven 400 miles to a new home. We called David. He and his crew did a great job. He got the piano moved and tuned. He also helped us with a refrigerator. He and his team were professional and efficient. We were extremely pleased with the work done. I'd highly recommend him.

We have a Square Grand Piano that had been in the family for many years. A square grand is not your average piano and takes special expertise. Our granddaughter is learning to play and we thought it would be best to have it tuned. David was very accommodating and punctual on his arrival. After tuning the piano, he identified several issues with this over 150 year old instrument. It had been rebuilt in 1977 with a few shortcomings. David worked on it during the time he was here and corrected some items. We knew that the keyboard had a few sticky keys, and David agreed. He ended up taking it back to his shop and correcting it. After returning the repaired keyboard, he spent more time correcting some other issues. It now sounds great!! Through the entire process, David was awesome. He explained what he was doing and how it affected the performance. I would hire him back for any piano work. All of this for a very reasonable price.

Very similar to Seleane's experience. Should've read her review before getting a piano from this guy. Now I'm trying to fine someone else who can actually tune and fix the keys of this piano I'm stuck with.

We had a fine experience with David moving and selling our baby grand piano. They moved the piano up a three story mountain house and he sent me a check for what we contracted for. Thank you!

On 1/12/16 I called David to deliver an inexpensive piano I was going to buy from a private party in Carson City to my home north of Reno. Instead he talked me into the Acrosonic for more money, saying it was a better piano. I was unable to go to Carson City to see the piano and decided to trust his expertise and recommendation. Then he went on vacation for a week. On 1/19 he worked on it, said he tuned it 3 times and delivered it on 1/21. By 1/23 it was out of tune. I called him and he yelled at me, wanted to know if my house was hot. It had been in the truck overnight in the cold he said, and then in my hot house (my house is not hot). He tried to blame it on climate. This piano has been beat up pretty bad, the outside wood is all scratched, the front needed staining, the music holder is broken and glued together. Not a well cared for instrument, not surprised the inside is doing this no matter what David says. He spent time putting stain on the wood as if that was all I cared about instead of how it played. He said it sat for a long time and then I played it for 10 hours, what did I expect. I expected it to play, not go out of tune in 2 days. It had to be cheap, it was all beat up. He told me the inside was ‘perfect.' I wanted to return it and not mess with it, he wouldn't let me talk, yelled that he would come and fix it. He said if it doesn't fix properly then he will give me my money back and haul it off. On 1/27 He spent 2 hours here. He tightened up the action on every key, said it probably was never done before. He admitted he didn't think I could play, probably wouldn't notice. He thought I was an organ player, since he had delivered an organ to me a few months ago. Then he spent another hour re-tuning it. That was the 4th tuning since 1/19. By 1/29 it had problems again. 2 well played keys were ‘clicking' when you played them and the sustain pedal made noise with use. One of the pedals was hanging before he sold it to me, said it was just loose. I waited until 2/1 to call since last time he yelled at me for calling on a Sunday morning. I left a detailed message saying it was up to him to keep coming here until it worked or just take it back. When he called back I tried to be nice. But he wouldn't let me talk, said he didn't realize I was a virtuoso looking for a cheap piano. I told him that's not my fault, he shouldn't have sold me this one, it wasn't in any condition to be sold. He said he'd give me my money back minus the cost of the tuning, minus the cost of the trans. (These things were included in the price). He said he doesn't have the money, can't pay his mortgage, won't be up this way for who knows how long. When I said that was not acceptable, this is not my fault and he needs to take care of this, he hung up on me. I waited a few days and sent him a letter, again trying to be nice. No sense calling, he is unable to handle the phone calls, yells and hangs up. I was hoping he would get in touch and offer to come back. But no. Now, 2/20/16 the piano is so out of tune that I cannot play it anymore. And I cannot in good conscience sell it to anyone else at any price. All I ever heard from David was what an expert he is and I can only surmise that with his level of expertise he was just trying to make a quick buck off a piece of junk. It backfired and now I am stuck with it, a total loss. He tried to make it out that it was somehow my fault. My fault was to trust him to sell me something better than the less expensive one I was originally going to buy.

David is a thief, we placed a piano on consignment with him and he never paid nor told us when it sold. He kept the money for himself. Never do business with this guy; he is a liar, a thief and a cheat. If you do do business with this guy know that you were warned. Just think, if he steals money and piano's, imagine what else he might take once inside your home....... Stay away!!!

I needed my mother's classic Steinway upright moved from the Sierra foothills to Gardnerville. David told me what he would charge and explained two alternatives I could use instead if I liked--no pressure. In the end, I asked him to move it and tune it afterwards. He and his helper drove his truck 170 miles over the Carson Pass (about a 4000-foot climb), 3000 feet down the other side, then 2000 feet up the Priest Grade to get the piano. Four hours each way, best case--it was an all-day job just to get the piano to Carson City! He brought it to my mom's place the next morning and spent the rest of the morning tuning it--it had needed tuning already, and the move had made that worse. My mom was delighted with his service and his courteous professional attitude. I wish I had another piano for him to move!
