The ladies at Catmandu are amazing! We adopted our little Cheddar boy a little over a week ago. The place is exactly what it says, a cat sanctuary! These ladies take such good care of the cats and kittens there, and you can tell how much they care. They will give you all the information you need as far as how to help them adjust, what food to feed them, etc. Cheddar is up to date on all his shots and even came chipped!I saw some negative reviews about not "allowing" people to adopt certain cats, etc. and I do believe they only have the cats best interest. They don't want to see them end up back at the sanctuary, a shelter, or worse, dumped somewhere. They clearly state this on their website as well. We went there fully prepared there'd be a possibility we'd be turned down. Think of it like buying from a breeder. The good ones do their research and have every right to turn you down if they don't think you're a good fit. So, all that being said, do your research before you decide to adopt.Thank you, Catmandu! We love our boy and are so proud of how well he's adjusting to his new life!

Linda and her staff and volunteers are amazing! Their cats are all well cared for and they are willing to bend over backwards to help any cat out there, even when they are full up and don't have space. They don't just turn you away and refuse to help, they will help with finding alternatives. Linda clearly cares first and foremost about the well-being and safety of the cats in her care and I will be forever grateful to her for still helping when she was already overwhelmed. Jeanine is amazing as well! She doesn't give up on any kitty and has also been a blessing for me and my feral colony. We need more places like Catmandu!

This place has the best selection of cats and the highest level of care I highly recommend to volunteer, donate, and check to see if your next fur baby is here just like me, where I found my cat that I love and am so grateful I came here to find a variety of such sweet cats of all ages and types. Definitely a cat sanctuary I love and support 1000%

I volunteer at Cathmandu. It is a wonderful cat sanctuary and they take good care of all the cats. They strive to get the cats adopted. I help socialize the kitties and do general cleaning and anything else that is needed. Please check it out. They have amazing kitties that are waiting for their forever home.

This is going to be long but please read. I adopted a 3 year old cat a little over a year ago from Catmandu and it turns out he has FeLV. Catmandu is a free roam shelter which originally I though was great, but they DO NOT tell you that they DONT test for FIV or FeLV. ( I also want to say that since I adopted my cat he has not been around other cats and is indoor only so there's no way he got FeLV after I adopted him). I spoke on the phone with the women who owns Catmandu and told her that the cat I adopted from them has FeLV and they should let adopters know that there cats could possibly have FIV/FeLV and she told me that they can't afford to test for it and they are not going to go over every single thing they don't test for with adopters. I was honestly disgusted that this women doesn't think that it's her responsibility to let people know this and that she's okay with mixing a bunch of cats together who are not being tested and is possibly shorting the life spans of once healthy cats. I don't want people not to adopt from here because these cats deserve good homes but if you already have a cat at home I wouldn't recommend getting a second one from here, unless your cat is already sick with FIV/FeLV.

Pretty amazing cat rescue facility, with tons of varied rooms and outdoor spaces for them, which are all interconnected for unlimited roaming.

It was ok. Most of the cats didn't seem to want to be bothered. If you're looking for an independent cat, it's a great place.

Catmandu is a caring cat place especially for "over the kitten stage" rescue. Free roaming indoors makes it less stressful on the cats. Their senior to senior program is a wonderful idea for both cat and human to find companionship and love.

I am a donor to Catmandu and very much hope others will do the same. They care for elderly and sick cats, offering a sanctuary and home for them until someone comes to adopt them. What Catmandu is doing is an act of mercy and kindness. Its expensive too, and they deserve any help you can offer them, even if its just a bag of cat litter or food. God Bless anyone for helping them, and God Bless Catmandu for what they do.

Our chapter of Beta Sigma Phi donates to Catmandu. We visited the facility & met with Linda, the director. It is free range, no cages. It shelters cats from various parts of Nevada .It depends on donations unlike larger organizations. It rescues & depends on volunteers. A local vet comes once a week. They have a senior program matching seniors with senior cats. They also care for ferals unlike other facilities where they are euthanized. Larger organizations get grants, etc. Catmandu does not. Visit , donate, adopt your furry bffs.??⬛

I love this place, the staff was very friendly and the cats they raise are super cute and sweet. I got my black and white kitten there back in 2020, she has been the sweetest most submissive cat I have ever got the pleasure of raising. These people provides a great service for the cats and the area. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the best shelter & place that takes care of cats and kittens. I got my baby girl from here and my sister also got a girl. Thankfully they’re litter trained, that makes it easier, and Linda (I think that’s her name?) was super helpful and very detailed on how to take care of my cat. My cat is very shy and timid, Linda was kind enough to provide homeopathy to calm her down when I took her home. I would recommend this place to whoever wants to adopt, they’re amazing people who takes great care of their cats.
