Nice store and people with top brands at reasonable prices. Brent has bent over backwards to help on many occasions!

Blues zone sports is a medium large store that focuses on a number of different outside activities and sports. Bicycles are big ski related items, camping, athletic shoes and boots and more. It is the only sports store in Carson City that you can get help with bicycles on a Sunday or a Monday. I visited on a Sunday needing a valve stem converter from a Schrader to a Presta to get air back in the rear tire of my literally brand new bicycle. A buck a piece, what a deal! Looking at outdoor, foldable chairs. Sorry if you're in need of sports items or you just like window shopping, make a trip to Blue zone sports!

Went in recently and bought an ice chest. Took it home and set it in the garage. Couple of days later, when going to put it away, I noticed the lid would not stay open. Stopped by the store and tested another lid on the same model. Stayed open. Asked the four young men standing around the counter if I could bring mine back and exchange it for one in which the lid stayed open. Was told I could. The morning I took mine in to exchange it, there was an older gentleman at the desk. Black hat and black shirt. Once he acknowledged me, which took a while, I explained what was going on. His response, "And?" Wow. He went over and checked one out and found it wouldn't stay open. Basically, told me that's how they are. Not sure about most people, but I have never bought an ice chest in which the lid won't stay open allowing you to load it with both hands. I asked for and received a refund. Seemed this fellow didn't care about my business at all. I was in not a couple of weeks before and had a great experience with a young employee who helped me pick out some running shoes. The older gentlemen obviously doesn't want my business, so I will take it elsewhere in the future. We are surrounded by multiple outdoor recreational opportunities in this area. I was ready to spend more money at this place. That is until I was shown how important I really am. PS, I have seen that reps from the store respond to the negative reviews. Save your cut and paste responses. I've moved on.

Chance favors the prepared mind. This business is great at being prepared and at preparing others to be prepared to enjoy all that outdoor Northern Nevada has to offer. There's also something to be said for having so many desirable traits, one here is comity, that are in such short supply elsewhere. I so love it when a business does everything so well that I'm able to write a glowing review.Staff graciously answered all our questions promptlyOrganizedHas average pricesPlace was cleanDisabled-friendlyDog-friendlyCustomer service was adequate and alacritousOffers Ski & Snowboard Rentals, Retail, & Service; Bicycle Rentals, Retail, & Service; Wakeboard, Wakesurf, & Behind-the-Boat; Kayaking & SUP; Winter & Summer Apparel & Accessories; Footwear; Camping & Outdoor Gear; Baseball, Soccer; & other Team Sports gear since 2017. I worked with Brent to have my boots expanded for a better fit. He expanded them and did a bunion pop. My feet that were killing me prior to the expansion. These are very expensive Lange boots bought at another company. I could not be happier with the customer service, expertise and professionalism I received. My feet feel great in my newly fitted boots. I highly recommend going there for ski boots and skis. I will definitely be back!

The guy at the store convinced me to by a full ski setup from this store by saying that I can install bindings and do boot fitting for free if I get the full set from them. So I did buy skies, bindings and boots from blue zone. When I came back the staff told me that they always charge for these services and obviously the guy who sold me all the gear was not there. Well, fool me once. Never going to shop at blue zone again.

Used the store’s seasonal ski rental plan during the 21/22 ski season got a upgraded package instead of the normal package. The clerk made a mistake for the sale so good for me. At the end of the season I returned equipment The manger Deana offered me the same equipment at the same price if I paid in advance for the next season.. Long story short she could not keep her promise and offered no solution except take the lesser package I consider that deceitful if you cannot keep your promise don’t offer something you know you won’t be able to do.I am no longer going to use them and will share my experience with others.

The owner reached out to me and wants to improve what I was unhappy about. I can appreciate that. And will be back to purchase some items in the future. The selection is good here and the location is convenient.

Love this store. If you need your ski boots worked on Brent at this shop in Carson City is the man to see. I have really narrow feet ankles and shins. He redid my new liners to thicken the front tongue. Genius. He also fixed my friends new boots for a hot spot he had on his left boot. The store also has great sales. Check them out for skis, boots snowboards and boots, bikes, hiking boots sneakers all manner of sports equipment and clothes
