We had our home mortgage with Bank of the West (BOW). We were happy with BOW. It was transitioned to the BMO bank and we have had nothing but problems with our mortgage payments. Therefore we have decided to pay off our mortgage to avoid the fees and financial chaos we have had with BMO. We feel very fortunate to be able to pay off this mortgage with them in order to avoid any further problems.

I have been banking at BofW for 2 years at the Sparks Branch. Their employees are exemplary. Their manager, Artis Johnson, has made my banking experiences easy and understandable. He is knowledgeable and patient and kind. The tellers are sweet and eager to be the most helpful they can be. Sounds silly all about a bank I guess but they're that good!

The monotone teller was clearly more worried about getting out of work on a Friday than helping a customer. I opened a new account online and she couldn't figure it out so pretty much left me in the lurch without even a have a nice day. I called customer service and they told me to go to the branch. Nice.

This Bank is fantastic and the people are friends. I've been with them for 20 years now and they've put up with me through bad times and good. They didn't just dump me when things got hard.

The only bank I know of that does not open on Saturdays. Makes it extremely inconvenient for customers to get account issues fixed. Or take care of issues that cannot be taken care of online or mobile app.

I stopped by the Sparks, Nevada branch to learn about opening new accounts and loans.I was told I would need to make an appointment.I called back and spoke with Daymir.We agreed to meet May 4th, 2021.I sent an email to confirm but I never got a reply back. Nothing all week.? I am a commercial driver with very challenging home time availability. I need to schedule and confirm appointments.I guess I will try a different bank.

Called and waited on hold for two hours to a corporate bank, then I called this branch and was immediately helped! Jairo was so friendly and helpful, he deserves a promotion! He answered all my questions and really helped me with my boat loan questions. I definitely recommend this branch just because of him.

My husband and I just moved here from California. We had to make an appointment a few weeks ago because Of COVID-19 to go in for a wire transfer. On the phone and in person, they were super nice and accommodating. And then today, because I needed checks for my account for utilities services, I called ahead and Judi once again helped me. She is honestly the nicest branch manager I have ever met at any bank. She changed my address for me in the system, had great conversation, and then wrote a welcoming note for me when I picked the checks up. This is not something that you are required to do, yet she wanted my husband and myself to be welcomed to the area, especially at a time when human connection is lacking. I even knew the previous branch manager in California before I started banking with Bank of the West and she never would have been so welcoming and thoughtful. Thanks for making this our #1 bank to go to!!

Absolutely horrible service there. I'm a new customer with them. I was confused about a fee they charged me. When I called they told me I should read my disclosure then hung up on me. When I called back and told the next girl that answered she gave some lame excuse about it being after hours. Told her what happened. She told me that if unhappy with them that I should close my account. And what kind of hours are Monday through Friday 9 to 5? And closed weekends? When can the 8 to 5 working people go in? On our lunch break? And spend a good portion of our lunch break there?
