The front desk staff here are some of the kindest, genuine, beautiful humans I've come across in years, without exaggeration, they saved me and my husband from having to sleep in our car. We were traveling across state and my card info was compromised, so we only had a little bit of cash and I was falling asleep at the wheel attempting to drive through the night. We stopped for gas and with the few dollars we had left decided to get a room since driving tired is dangerous and we were exhausted. We were turned away at several hotels who wouldn't rent to us without a $200+ card deposit, we pulled into El Rancho Boulder just as they were closing the front desk, the front desk manager saw us, got out of her car, reopened the office and set us up for a room with no judgement, no fuss, just a beautiful smile and compassionate heart. The next day we met the owner, a humble and kind man, and we're able to extend our stay for several days to recoup. We fell in love with this little town, a much needed decompression from Vegas. The rooms are newly renovated, with love by locals, and done wonderfully. The pictures online are old, it's a completely different and stylish spot now. Nothing flashy, nothing extra, just simple and pure comfort. The beds are huge and comfortable , the water pressure is top notch, the smart TVs can access endless movies, the parking is free and easy, each room having a spot right in front for easy unloading, the pool is pristine, the outdoor bbq area is simple and awesome, the rooms and outdoor sitting areas are spotless. The people that work here actually take the time to listen and connect with each guest, they are truly wonderful. No one bothers you once you're in the room, checkout can be easily pushed back an hour so you never have to rush out and the quiet respect each guest has for each other makes you feel like you have the entire place to yourself. Its perfect. It's run by a close family- like collective , and the owner seems like the kind of man I'd want to invest in, a genuine guy that keeps a genuine space, not disconnected like the best Westerns of the world. It's humble. It's a lifesaver. The only place we'll stay anytime we're in Boulder. Highly recommend.
Walkability: Bars and restaurants very very close. Same block. The next door diner is amazing. The bar across the street has live music on the weekends.
Food and drinks: BYOB. But each room has a mini fridge and microwave. Huge plus.

We stopped here for the night, on our way back to Austin TX, from Reno NV. The room we were given was sub par, to say the least. The lamps were broken. Only glaring ceiling lights were operational. We asked to see across the street, their other property. Rooms were freshly painted, and the smell was nauseating. We opted to not stay there, but we were charged anyway. We were told we would be refunded...but we are still waiting..

Rooms locks looked bit unsafe other than that everything was cool. Comparing how expensive nevada can be this was good value for money.

Lovely facility - very clean and well serviced. Boulder City is a lovely location with a sense of community and some nice bars and restaurants.
Would highly recommend the hotel and Boulder

These people are so nice and good and treated me like a KING
Rooms: Clean and tidy, nice maids and management was great
Nearby activities: Hoover dam, great casinos close and just a fun time
Safety: Totally safe!
Walkability: Shopping,food and a great staff
Food and drinks: There are so many options near by and a very nice place

Stayed recently and was not pleased at all. The room was dated (not new as their site says). Their tv channel system was cheap and we could not get it to operate. Their site says you get a 10% discount at the cafe next door (when we checked in they said the same). The cafe told us they stopped that a long time ago. Bed was ok. Motel works sat at a table in front of our room and were loud. It was disturbing to say the least. Lots of motels on that strip. Pick something, anything else!

The 1st room was at El Rancho location, but the room was really run down. The room was dirty, the bed was all twisted and sunken into the frame. I went back to the office, where she said they had another location down the street, but it was under construction so there was only one other person at that location. When I went in the room, there were bugs all over the floor. I went back to the office and got a broom 🧹 swept the entire room and showed the lady the 2 piles I swept up, full of dirt and dead bugs. She didn't say much, the room A/C also wasn't cooling very well, the maintenance man came by and brought a fan which I asked the office for. He also suggested to install a portable AC unit. Which he did but after he moved the bed and side tables to get to plug more bugs appeared. He looked around to see how they were getting in, he also swept up what re-appeared. Once the room cooled down he took the portable AC back out. After he left I ended up finding more bugs. Called the front desk, she told me he went home for the day, I asked if she could bring a broom, she said yes was getting off soon herself. But she never came by, I had more bugs crawling in the room from under the door. I decided I wasn't going to stay, I got my things and left. This is a update now for this review 3 months later, I filed a dispute through my bank and without my surprise the Mgr at this hotel lied about everything so of course good for them they got to keep my money, Wow outstanding for you bravo for being a thief as well. You know what they say about Karma, what goes around comes back to you 3 fold.

Wonderful vintage motel is a gorgeous small town, convenient to just about everything you'd want to do (including Hoover Dam). Pool was a very pleasant extra, as was the Southwest Diner next door.
