Some rooms are nice, some rooms are horrible. Our group stays here often, multiple times a summer and had never been put in this room before. We had 3 rooms in total and 2 of them were nice, clean, and decently well kept. the 3rd room permanently changed our perspective of the motel, and now we will likely be taking our business elsewhere. The bad room had carpet stained and all torn up, window screens had been busted out like someone jumped through them, the beds were harder then the crusty carpet, wallpaper was literally falling off the walls etc.It felt very disrespectful that they would put us in a room this bad while the other members of our group paid the same exact amount for a totally normal and nice room with none of the same issues. The staff was friendly and accommodating and switched the bad room to a normal one with no argument.

Honestly, the interior is outdated, some things are clunky BUT it was clean and the location is amazing. Beautiful tiny downtown area far from the noise of the strip. Great place to rest by the swimming pool during golden sunset hours...I gave it an overall 5 stars because of the location and the good prices.

Boulder City: Las Vegas' best kept secret. El Rancho Boulder Motel: home away from home!If you're thinking of a get-away and Las Vegas seems like too much to deal with – not pedestrian friendly; long distances in traffic from wherever you found to stay to wherever you might want to go – Boulder City is an under-appreciated gem, now even farther off the beaten path thanks to the Route 93/Interstate 11 bypass. It's consistently cooler than Las Vegas, much closer to Lake Mead, and counters the sprawl of Las Vegas with a lush town park, tree-shaded historic neighborhoods, a Route 66 feel without rubbing it in, and a truly walkable downtown that reminds visitors that all is not lost to Amazon. Friendliness is the norm here, and dogs are welcome. If you think you've seen all the public sculptures, including memorials to those who built Hoover Dam, keep looking. If you choose Boulder City, then stay at the historic El Rancho Boulder Motel, a Boulder City institution that both contributes to and echoes the best of Boulder City. The rooms are well-appointed without the cookie-cutter feel of a chain; staff are Boulder City friendly and beyond accommodating; other reviews about how clean this motel is – the window panes, as if ever-ready for a movie shoot – are spot-(lessly)on. We stayed here two months ago – and are now here again – at the beginning of a southwest road trip that never happened because we decided to spend the whole week here, at this very fine motel in this very fine little city.

We drove past this motel which was $100 cheaper than the Best Western across the street and decided to give it a chance. We loved it. The AC was cool, room was clean and roomy and the woman at the front desk was so, so nice. We enjoyed our chat with her and slept great. It was super quiet. The room is old so some parts aren’t gorgeous but for the price and location you can’t beat it! We walked everywhere in Boulder City- Boulder Dam Hotel, Beer Zombies, Southwest Diner, etc. will definitely be back.

Front desk people were really nice. Our flight got delayed and we had to leave for the airport at night instead of morning. They extended our check out time from morning to night without any additional charge as there was no booking coming up for that room. Really appreciate the gesture!!
