Incredible facility with amazing staff and volunteers running things. The scenic trails and the Buffalo Herd are amazing, I cannot wait to see the crane migration in the spring.

From Crane Trust Nature & Visitor Center
At the Crane Trust, our mission is to protect and maintain the physical, hydrological and biological integrity of the Big Bend area of the Platte River so that it continues to function as a life support system for whooping cranes, Sandhill cranes and other migratory bird species.
Discover the Wild About Nature Display including murals and touch-screens full of information, shop the Crimson Crown Gift Shop and view magnificent photographs and art in the Hornady Art Gallery. When you venture outside you’ll encounter the butterfly garden, a small research herd of American bison along the path to a 35-foot observation tower which is near two footbridges leading to roughly 10 miles of nature trails along the Platte River.
