While I cant complain about my entire time employed with Pavers there is still alot to complain about. This is a very unsafe place to work. Injured to the point of needing to file a work comp claim and your good as gone. It may not happen right away but they will find a way to disguise it through something else. The work environment is so toxic. I have no problem owning up to my mistakes and yell all you want for them but when it comes to getting screamed at for things I have no control over I can only take so much. Things like not catching another employees mistake when you have me elsewhere doing other things having no possible way to catch mistakes and for there not being CB antennas on old junk equipment become the topic of your daily scream session. Ultimately lead to me having panic attacks anticipating what it was gonna be that day. Never once did I have a panic attack prior to my years at Pavers. I took a decent sized rock to the neck/shoulder that popped out of the crusher. Normally employees wouldnt be in this area but Pavers makes you clean under conveyor belts while the plant is in motion so its unavoidable. When this happened I covered all medical bills myself knowing what would happen if there was a work comp claim there would be trouble. Couple months later whole cleaning under another conveyor belt while the plant was running my hood has become entangled in a tail pulley. Pavers did jot have any guards on their tail pulleys until the day of the accident. The second I was taken away in a helicopter employees were instructed to start working on a list to bring just that plant up to code with OSHA. Not to provide safety for employees but to try and avoid OSHA fines as two other plants still have unguarded tail pulleys. I wont go into the rest but as you would imagine this work accident required a work comp claim leading to the downfall of my employment with Pavers. If any management has anything different to say about it I challenge them to a lie detector test and watch them tell lie after lie. Doug drinks everyday on the job and its bad enough it effects his moods. Sad to say but the more he would drink the better of a day it would be. Once again if anyone says different lie detector test. Also have multiple employees that will say the same thing about seeing him drinking on the job, picking ip cases of beer during the work day, drinking at local automotive shops, and being at a bar during the work day. They don't pay overtime in the winter instead they will put it on your paycheck as straight time but as a bonus. Then when you go to collect workers comp they will lie about anything they can to get you as little as possible. They said that weather didn’t effect my hours and this lie lead to hundreds of dollars off my work comp paychecks. They told this to worker's comp insurance adjuster yet when they submitted my job description for my wrongful termination charges that were filed it said in the description hours would be effected by weather. The create dummy tickets on state and county jobs. What this means is asphalt tickets are created for loads of asphalt that were never shipped. Once again if management says different lets take a lie detector test. Second part in another review

The create dummy tickets on state and county jobs. What this means is asphalt tickets are created for loads of asphalt that were never shipped. Once again if management says different lets take a lie detector test. Dummy tickets created would usually be for 25 tons per ticket and placed under either trucks that werent working that day or trucks that were never used except for this purpose. I could go on forever about the stuff that hoes on there and if you don't wanna play along there's the door since its all at will employment. Once the work comp claim was filed I was apparently the worst employee ever even though I had received at least $1 raise every year sometimes multiple raises. I was running the asphalt plant and a hood portion of the lab for asphalt testing. The wrong asphalt was used one day. We were supposed to be using a more costly type of asphalt known as SPH but instead SPR was used. Instead of fixing it some shady stuff was done with inspectors and this was covered up. Lie detector test. This short list of things should go to sho

The road looks good but the sub contractor overstepped the right away boundaries with an excavator and left an 8 inch track in my yard. They told me it would be reshaped and fixed nicely and all they did was spread grass seed on it piss poor business !!

Had an issue with a worker on the road. He literally got out of his vehicle to argue with me and delay my travel even more than they already had. Disrespectful and the workers looked like drug addicts.
