For the most expensive hotel in Valentine, I expected better. Locals told me that it’s been struggling.Very disappointed. No bread for toast at breakfast for 3 days in a row. No coffee one day. Common areas need a good cleaning. Housekeeping was invisible—front desk lady gave us fresh towels.Shower was broken—desk lady said she has reported it a week ago. I growled a little and it got fixed.No in room coffee.

This hotel has potential, but struggles to cater to needs of consumers. Internet is terrible, they have a sign at breakfast that says don't fill a travel mug with coffee and only one trip to breakfast bar. They shortened the time frame for breakfast, so many of the travelers that work for a local facility can't get breakfast before they leave. Seems strategic on their part. They used to have wonderful service. Their beds are hit and miss as well as cleanliness. Seems they also struggle to keep help. I wish they could see that their regulars are important. Looks like I'll be hotel hopping in Valentine again. I think the three main hotels are owned by the same company, so unfortunately, I might be recommending Air BNB options to those traveling or vacationing in Valentine!

If you are in the Valentine area, definitely recommend this motel. It's quiet, very good breakfast, and a bed where you can sleep like a log.

We found this little gem after a very long day of driving. The lodge has spacious rooms with mini fridge, microwave, and has a pool. The hotel provides complimentary continental breakfast, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Don't pay cash. They will find any reason to keep your deposit. Tried working with manager Mark and he kept hanging up on me and refused to give me a receipt. Hope he enjoys the 200 he kept. He needs it more than I do.

For $200 a night (including taxes and fees) they did NOT clean the room and we had to ask for clean towels! I understand that help is at a premium, but the rate of service and the breakfast did not equal the price.

The general manager unblocked a room for me when they were booked, which I did appreciate. However, if I knew I was going to spend $170 for this outdated basic room, I would have never taken it. The mattress is horribly uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin. The desk chair was stained and gross and the phone in the room did not work. For that much money it would have been nice to actually get some sleep. I definitely DO NOT recommend this hotel. The owner should be ashamed for price gouging so much.

Just checked in and room is dirty. Luckily they let me use vacuum to clean the floor. Wiping down bathroom with Lysol wipes as the counters and desk were dusty and dirty . The spa was nice however did not stay for breakfast. Beds were comfortableNoteworthy details: My service dog and my husbands dog were welcomed and the front desk lady was nice. Just need more cleaning. Have not tried the pool or breakfasts here yet

Overall the hotel was nice, rooms, lobby and breakfast area nice and relaxing. Some updates have been done but needs update, fixing and major cleaning. The outside grounds are terrible- weeds, overgrown shrubs,etc. Looking pretty run down- not great appeal. The pool and hot tub area were also substandard. Would have expected a bit nicer of a place for the price.

Seemed like a decent hotel until we got into our room and our pillows were covered in someone else’s hair. Sheets were dirty and room was oddly humid. Unfortunate that such a beautiful area has such a lackluster hotel.

Nice that picnic tables and grills provided in the picnic area in front. However, the room was not clean. Bobby pins, pen cap and dead bugs found in room. Room has an odd smell and Wi-Fi doesn't work.

Recently I attended a meeting in the conference room at the lodge. There were probably 40 people in attendance and the A/C either stopped working, or was not running property, but the room was extremely hot. To the point of almost unbearable. No one at the hotel seemed to be concerned, to my knowledge no one ever checked on us to apologize or update on what was happening. When I left the meeting someone that the FD said that your maintenance man was not on duty that night. But we did have water and ice tea, with no ice!!! Alicia R
