The hotel is not bad. Everything in the town is closed before 10 pm.

I checked in on July 10th and checked out on July 12th. The hotel seemed very welcoming and friendly when I first arrived and I stayed in room #207. I forgot my stuffed green dragon in my room when I checked out on the 12th and I immediately called the hotel after I found out he was missing. The lady seemed nice and helpful at first and she told me staff would call me if they found my dragon. I called back on the 13th and talked to Paige the manager on duty and she saw the message and she told me she would call me if they found him. I called again on the 19th to find out any information and I talked to a man and he told me nobody turned in my dragon I left my information again and asked for the manager to call me back. Nobody called me back I was devastated and I felt like the staff didn’t care or take me seriously. I called again on the 25th and I talked to Paige the manager I had spoken with before and asked if they found my dragon and she told me they never found him. I told Paige I was worried that someone took him home with them and she told me that hasn’t happened since she’s been working for the hotel. Still I never got my dragon back. I’m very disappointed in the service at this hotel and I feel like my feelings have been dismissed for the loss of my dragon. He may not have been an expensive diamond ring and was just another lost item in the eyes of the staff but my green dragon was my best friend in my eyes and I had him for over 31 years and now he’s gone. The way I was treated by the staff was unacceptable and unprofessional and I will not be returning to this hotel. I’m a former resident of the Valentine area and the next time I come back to visit I will be taking my business to another hotel with staff who will treat me with respect and honesty.
Noteworthy details: Whatever you do don’t forget any of your belongings especially the ones that mean more than the world to you because you will not get them back. I may not have proof that housekeeping stole my stuffed dragon but I do have that I didn’t get him back and I’m devastated. The staff had no empathy for my loss I called four times and left messages and not once did staff call me back. I’m very disappointed in their service and won’t be returning.

Booked a suite and this is what I got. Not surprised being a choice hotel But at least try and clean that horrible stain off the couch.

Only stay here for work once a yr. Not much else in town. No frills place, bit on the expensive side for what you get. Close to $200 for what any other similar hotels charge $85. TV remote would only control guide and channels. Had to turn it on/off and change volume from buttons on tv. Bed and pillows were ok. Didn’t eat breakfast.

Clean, good service, good breakfast, we requested a rollaway and they didn't have one available, rooms are alittle small, and beds are very firm!
Food & drinks: Breakfast was waffles, eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, juice, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt and toast!

Simply Great! No hotel is perfect but this was the cleanest hotel room I have experienced in the 62 different hotels I have stayed in (so far) during 2024.
Rooms: The room was the cleanest hotel room I have experienced in a long time. Great A/C and very soft/comfortable bedding.
Nearby activities: The Cowboy Trail, less than 20 feet from this hotel’s parking lot, provides you with miles of walking/jogging opportunities experiencing the beauty of everything near Valentine.
Noteworthy details: Deb was a great front desk staff member and Renee kept the breakfast area clean and well-stocked.

For a no pet policy I assumed it would be a clean hotel! It was far from it and very disappointing! It was grimey and I felt unsafe with my child! Of course Im limited to 2 pictures!

Had reservations I made online, clicked the pet button. Get to hotel in the middle of a huge storm go to check in no big deal. Get to room and receive a call from the front desk asking if we have pets I said yes and they tell me I didn't book a pet friendly room. I check my reservations and as I thought I did. So the staff informs me I have to pay an extra $100 or no room (FYI there's a tornado in the area) so I pay them. Staff was very rude I would not recommend this hotel ever especially if you have pets

Rooms: Have stayed here multiple times over the last couple of years. Room 130 is nice to be by the exit for our dog, but the heater fan is very noisy. Room 120 has been nice except fridge didn't work when we were there so moved to 126 and it was ok as well did not have tub stopper and the heater fan was starting to get noisy but over all a good hotel just need to do some PM's

Clean rooms and good location to see the falls around the area. Close to restaurants, gas etc.Nearby activities: Fort Falls and Smith Falls are close by.

The hotel is a hotel. Nice and clean. Stayed here because it was close to state parks we wanted to visit and has a pool for the kids. Staff was very nice and quite helpful. They were able to answer my questions about the parks in the area and provided good recomemdations. Happy with our stay.
