Buyer BEWARE! Absolutely horrible customer service, they refuse to call or email you back. They refuse to send any of the paperwork/titles when you purchase vehicles. I do not recommend this company at all.

Rude customer service. They tax everything even when you fill out appropriate forms, example: buy a disc to pull behind a tractor for farm ground. Do they embezzle the money?
Secondly in November 2019 there was a auction, I won a item, the same day our son died. I didnt pay within their 48 hour window, so I got charged a late fee, what kind of evil heartless people run that place? I even called and told them what happened, but fees are fees.

Just drove 350 miles to pick up a 1957 wd45 allis chalmers. Turns out it's a 1951 wd. The terrible pictures that were taken really didn't show that it wasn't a 45 but after I picked it up and realized it,oh well my fault. The gentleman that I picked it up from was very helpful and an all around great guy. When I asked about it being a wd45 he said he didn't know why the rep had listed it that way. I guess I paid premium price for a throw away tractor. My advice would be if you are able to, inspect the item. You're taking a serious gamble by looking at the pictures.

I purchased an ambulance E450 from this auction- I paid the price immediately after I won the bid and paid a $25 title fee. Fast Forward- We source a mechanic and start the renovation process; we find a buyer for the renovated van during the renovation process and realize we don't have the title to do the title transfer and then sell and transfer again.
We reach out to Big Iron to get the Title, as we assumed it would have been given to the family member that picked up the van or sent in the mail- It was mailed (post office delivered incorrectly, lazy postal man- another claim and review for another day to remedy with post office- YAY) So, then we seek for title replacement from the Auction- Big Iron, where they tell me to contact the original seller... and not them.... apparently, he needs to go get a new one and give it to them and then they will stamp and send it to me. So, I do that, and he says he will get me a duplicate and give me an update when he gets it to Big Iron- NO BIGGIE. I am then contacted several times by a weird number... early in the morning around 7am... apparently by the sales rep at Big Iron telling me to Venmo him (the Rep) $50 for the title replacement and for his friends (sellers) time... I had already been communicating with the seller per Big Irons instruction- so red flag goes up, possible fraud, right? I had to confirm with the seller that he was, in fact, a valid person, making a valid request and he didn't respond right away so I reached back out to customer service at Big Iron to confirm the guys identity and phone number and she confirmed his identity and later responded back that she's not mailing the title until the $50 is paid to the Rep and she gets proof and continued to (what felt like- shaking me down for $50) state if I wanted the title and it was an urgent matter to pay the sales rep so he would hurry bring her the title. I was frustrated by the lack of professionalism and the odd method for paying for the title replacement, asking if I could pay them instead of venmo-ing the rep (the answer was no) and so I also wanted further proof from them that they even sent the original title to begin with (you can blame me or not for that request but it felt valid to do so at this point) So, they sent me the photo of the signed piece of mail and I paid for the title via venmo.... FAST FORWARD.... I received the title in the mail, go to the tax office and find out it has the wrong information stamped on it (price and purchaser information) the title and the application are stamped with Quality Trucks & Trailers, LLC when I, in-fact, purchased from Big Iron Auctions and the price printed on the app was $2000 more than I paid. They told me they couldn't accept this "Signed Application for Texas Title..." bc the information doesn't match the Bill of Sale receipt. I contacted the Big Iron customer service again stating this and asked them what they could do to remedy- the lady (who was on vacation- responded, kudos!) sent me a new application with the correct price and claimed it would work as a bill of sale also. I took it to the Tax office again- another day... and they asked me for the paper work, and for the bill of sale or sales receipt and I said the lady told me this would work as the Bill of Sale and she told me "No", that she needed a Bill of Sale or receipt and so I explained the situation...again... and provided her with my invoice and again they won't accept bc the information doesn't match the bill of sale and they either need a new bill of sale or a new title matching the bill of sale (infinite loop..) I have now had to reach back out to Big Iron for remedy again.
I am providing a review bc none of these interactions have felt professional or helpful at this point and it's eating away at my time and pocketbook. I hope this encounter is a rarity and no one else will go through this. If it were me on their end, I think I would've gone about it all a little differently. GOOD LUCK!

Great place to buy stuff, HORRIBLE place to sell stuff...... From the lack of staff, no communication with me, they had delays on getting pictures taken and posted so I missed my original sell day. My equipment brought less than half of what similar equipment has been selling for. A few items brought less than scrap price. I inquired about the poor bidding history and was told not to worry. After the sale I talked with my sales rep who put me in contact with Fred Lopez, we had a long conversation and he was going to get back in touch with me. Big surprise, he never did. DO NOT EVER SELL WITH BIG IRON!

Terrible seller experience. The sales rep gave me incorrect info on their fees and I was charged $1130 more commission than expected. The sales rep agreed he screwed up, but his manager would not do anything about it. Since I work with over 200 other farming operations in my line of work, I make sure to tell them all about my experience and to not use Big Iron. Making a mistake is one thing, not owning up to and backing up your employees and making it right is another.

It's the worst place to list anything. After I listed 3 units with this place, they promptly fired my listing agent and his manager. My equipment sold for $0.10 on the dollar. I would have had better luck selling my stuff thru the local auction house in Idaho.

I was not impressed with the results of the auction. I would say that the item I put on the auction sold at about 20% of its value. Had I not alerted a tenant who had used the machine in the past, I would guess it would have only brought half of what it did. Like I said at the outset, I was not impressed with the outcome! I won't be using Big Iron again.

We had a terrible experience as a seller. Our equipment sold for much less than half of their initial estimate. I felt like we were mislead from the beginning. Worse yet- the only item that sold for a reasonably good price wasn't even real money. The buyer didn't pay. BigIron did little-to-nothing to be helpful in this situation. They took no responsibility at all.We have used a couple other auction sites (DPA and Steffes). We have had much better service and honesty with these guys. BigIron was offal.

We participated in an online collector car auction recently and purchased three vehicles. The team was exceptionally professional, and the transaction was painless. Overall an exceptional experience, and we highly recommend BigIron and their subsidiary, Sullivan Auctioneers.
