I like that I can bring my car in for an appointment and they stand by their appointment. Also, appreciate the pictures of what they are seeing, helps validate their findings. However, on my first visit for a brake job, they tried to charge me about $50 more than the estimate. There was no additional work to justify the $50. They were good about giving me the price quoted, but wasn't the best first experience. Second time in for an oil change went well although they listed several maintenance items and their prices which didn't need to be done according to Toyota's maintenance schedule. Third time I came in for a rotational noise from the front, they found thousands of dollars in problems throughout (some I knew about and not all was related to the rotational noise), told me they would send me a detailed estimate the next day, but didn't. I called 2 weeks later and asked for the estimate again. I was told to give them a couple hours, 3 weeks later no estimates so I decided to go to a competitor. The competitor found the rotational noise (rusted calipers), which wasn't any of the items West Omaha pointed out. Plus the competitor found the front strut bushings were shot. West Omaha called out the struts as being 'rusty' and 'leaking', but nothing about the failed bushings. The squeak they attributed to ball joints, were the strut bushings. Which is really why they needed to be replaced. All struts will get rusty after time, that alone is not a reason to replace struts, and competitor found no evidence of leaking.

This was my first time at West Omaha Auto for an oil change. Have had a few people talk about them and decided to try it out. Service was good and everything seemed to go well. Paid and staff said there were no concerns with my car after oil change. I didn't get any service record when I paid and didn't know if this was normal or not and I forgot to call later to check. I will have to call, no big deal but nice to have a record. Thank you!

When I went in for an oil change, I initially thought it was great—especially with the candy bar on the way out. It wasn't cheap, but the gesture seemed nice. Then, not even two weeks later, my engine light came on. They told me it was due to needing an oil change. I had just gotten my oil changed by them, and it wasn't low because I checked it myself. Shortly after, I had issues with the serpentine belt, alternator pulley, and power steering pulley making noise. They suggested it was the power steering pulley, I agreed. When that didn't fix it, they claimed the alternator needed to be changed too. Nearly $900 later, I turn it on, same noise. They then said an engine chain needed repairing—at a cost of $1600.
I'm no rocket scientist, but this screams their fault from the very first oil change. I bet they used the wrong weight oil and caused all these issues. How does no problems before and a $2500 bill after an oil change make sense? The purpose of an auto repair shop is to fix cars, not to sabotage them for profit. I'm warning everyone: that candy bar isn't worth $2500. Save yourself the trouble.

Quality work. Friendly staff. Clean facility. Had a rear wheel cylinder fail on my way to work and lost my brakes. Got me in quickly on a Friday without an appointment and out same day, which is why I chose them. I called a lot of shops and they were the only ones that made me feel confident I was going to get my truck back same day. Seems too expensive but I’m not sure because I haven’t used a mechanic shop in a very long time. I’m only comparing their price to what it would’ve costed me get parts and do it myself.

This is my go to shop, they treat me and my vehicle with the utmost respect and care. They always call and give honest advice and cost of repairs, and if the repair is needed asap or can be done later. I recently traveled out of state, and my vehicle broke down, they took my call walked me through what I was hearing in terms of the sound my vehicle was making and told me the price I was being quoted for repairs was more than fair. This is one of my favorite shops I’ve ever dealt with.

After taking my car to a few other local mechanics, I trusted the Google reviews and took my Civic to Wear Omaha Auto Service.
Everyone is genuinely friendly. My car was in and out (fixed, obviously) super quickly. Their workflow to inspect/appraise and get approval for labor made me feel looped in the entire time. Any updates or delays were immediately relayed to me, and the cost was seriously reasonable.
I took it back a second time and honestly my opinion only improved.
This shop is incredible. If you want to skip the games and take it to a place you can trust, this is it hands down

I had some emergency engine trouble and they got me in within the day. I took them not a whole lot of time to figure out what the problem was. They seem to be very organized and efficient with how there system works and I got my car back by the end of the day and it was probably one of the best experiences I’ve had with an auto repair shop. I highly recommend going here.
