I have conducted business with UB&T for as long as I can remember. The few times I've encountered an issue they have always listened to my side and provided a fair resolution. Also, love when one has an issue with a visa debit card that is attached to one's checking account, you can get a new card made at any UB&T branch location - avoiding having no access to your funds while you wait for the mail to deliver a replacement - now that's convenient banking. Highly Recommend.

I banked with UBT for 5 or 6 years before I had one off putting experience, during which time my experience with them was fantastic.But in the last couple years, they have outsourced their customer service or went to a call center format. Service is inconsistent, I've encountered many reps who are rude and/or don't know the answer to my questions, communication is unclear, and no one seems to "own" the problem at hand. It's fine if you don't have a question, but when you do, not worth it. I am switching to a different bank.

The only interaction I've had with this bank is a loan that we had on a UTV. I attempted to payoff the loan early and was given a payoff amount from UBT after sending them a message. The amount also matched the amount they list on the online website daily. My local bank sent payoff electronically and the money was debited from my account the SAME day. UBT now says I owe $1.64 instead of the loan being paid off.Further I previously sent a "principal" payment that was clearly marked as PRINCIPAL and UBT credited the payment as interest and principal. Anything to make a buck. I understand that their system maybe is automated........but really where is the customer service in that???Now I have to either pay MORE money or fight with them to agree that my loan is paid off.STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK!!!!

UBT is an absolute nightmare for business banking. they lock me out of my account months, forcing me to spend 20 minutes on hold every 3 months (or any time you attempt to log in from out of state, even on your own phone) and they ware rude about it every single time. UBT customer support has told me it’s a regularly scheduled password change and they would send an email to warn this password reset date is approaching, but they have never once emailed me this warning. ive verified they have my email correct and have specifically asked that they send this email so i don’t get stuck on hold but they never have. the “forgot password” button online doesn’t work and never has in the year ive banked with them. they charge you $12 a month for a service charge but cost you at least twice that much at the end of the year if you factor for time wasted on hold trying to log into your account. don’t waste your time
