Awesome team there will make sure they take care of you. Everyone was knowledgeable and listened to what I was trying to achieve with my bowling game and suggested what was best to help get me on the right track when the lanes dry up. I was ready to buy another ball but they led me in the right direction to fix my game with what I have along with some great pointers

Drove down from Norfolk with my son so we could both get a ball and gear for league bowling. They greeted us right away and helped us put together a nice package deal at a good price. I particularly found them helpful with technical information. The ball I wanted was out of stock but found a comparable ball at a good price. They explained the fingertip hole drilling process for my needs. My son who is disabled really enjoyed what he purchased. I would recommend this place to anyone. I'm anxious to try out my ball to test the lane and pin action with my choice.

I went to purchase my first ball as a new bowler. I wanted something with a good hook, so an employee sold me a resin ball with a large core. I was asked which grip I preferred, conventional or fingertip, but I was not advised of any difference in performance between the two. The employee did a fine job fitting me for the ball and assisting me with picking out a bag and shoes.
The ball fit very well, but after seeing virtually no curve my first time out, I searched online to find that a fingertip grip is required to get the most out of the ball. So, less than 24 hours after it was purchased, I went back to get my ball redrilled.
A second employee assisted me with a refit. This employee was very polite and did an equally good job with the fitting. I will update this review once I pick up the refitted ball. Without asking, this employee removed any service cost from the ticket, charging me only for the material cost of the tips and resin. After expressing my concerns, they offered a refund on the cost of the resin.
When I expressed my concerns to one of the owners, they did not even pretend to care and said they did not "owe (me) a new ball." I never asked for one.
This owner told me that, by the first employee's account, I was advised of the performance difference between the two styles of grips. Obviously I was not, or else I wouldn't have returned the very next day.
After repeating myself three times, finally the mistake was acknowledged by this owner, who then downplayed the situation and brushed it off. All I wanted was some empathy and accountability; I received none, save from one employee who was neither involved with the mistake, nor in a managerial position.
I purchased a bag with space for a pickup ball down the road. I don't expect I will return to Tom Kelly's Bowling Pro Shop for that (or any other) purchase.
One star for the first person I encountered. I would have rated higher if they had owned up to the mistake.
Five stars for the second; a model employee.

Recently heard about your abrupt move after the situation in Westgate plaza and just wanted to commend your owner for handling it in such a professional manner.
There was a bakery near your old location that had some crazy theories as to why they had to move, the fact you didn’t join in on that nonsense and acted like a responsible business owner shows integrity many business today lack.
Congrats on your over 40 years of operating in Omaha, I’m sure you’ll be here for a long time to come! New location looks great!

Amazing Pro-Shop!! Tom and his staff are second to none! Extensive inventory and selection. Was lucky enough to have them drill a ball for me. They took the time to insure a proper fit, and did a quality job with the installation of my finger inserts and thumb slug! While I was there I watched customer after customer come in, some.. generation deep! The only place in Omaha for everything bowling!

I don't even know how to bowl, and yet when I tried to pick up the sport walking in they welcomed me like family (note this was a few years back). They know what they are doing, fit me with a great ball package and made sure it wasn't to heavy, and holes drilled right. I'm a lefty so they even taught me ways to throw the ball correctly. Tom Jr and Sr are the best in town!

Been going here for over 30 years. More sporadically recently. But the staff is still nice, knowledgeable and helpful. They are an Omaha treasure, and I look forward to continuing to support them after they move in June.

My husband and I originally went in just for shoes as we don't like using the rental ones. While there, the customer service we received was top notch, although we were the only ones in the store, and they informed us about the different packages they offer which include shoes, a ball, a bag and then an accessory depending on the package. We decided to pass on the package at the time and they told us if we come back within 30 days with our receipt, we could still do the package. A week later we were back to do the package deal and the customer service was even better and the place was packed! Very knowledgeable staff that were able to answer all our questions and find us each the right ball for our beginner status. Very happy to support such a great local business.
