The lady coaching the boys youth baseball is ridiculous. A coach is supposed to guide and motivate players. Not alienate and discourage them. The coach seemed more interested in ensuring her brother played every inning, while others didn't get 5 minutes of playing time. That is not coaching. The organization were made aware of this and responded by cutting players after taking their parents money from the team. It's a disgusting excuse for a team sports club.

Too bad I cannot give less than 1 star! This organization is poorly run from the director/owner down to the managers and coaches. I am disappointed that the team our business sponsored was plagued by poor leadership and coaching that resulted in having 4 different coaches in one season. That alone should raise eyebrows, but even worse, team members were subjected to unfair practices and favoritism that even the youngest players recognized. Another major complaint is that organizational funds are either mismanaged or misappropriated since much of what is promised at the beginning of the year, did not come through until the end of the season, if at all. I regret allowing my business to sponsor Team Nebraska and being affiliated with such a dysfunctional organization. Our company has yet to receive an acknowledgement, letter or ANY communication about the money our business paid as a team sponsor. The banner, with our logo, which was supposed to be displayed at the team games, didn't even get ordered until late into the season. I love supporting the community, but I regret having my name associated with those who are not in alignment with business vision. Strengthening family values by modeling honesty, good sportsmanship, compassion, and integrity are paramount to anything our business is associated with. Our experience with Team Nebraska couldn't be further from these expectations!

This organization is very poorly run. The indoor facility was shut down right as the season started and no longer exists. It was unfortunate, especially since this spring was uncharacteristically cold and wet. Full uniforms were never received completely (at least for the team my son played on). In fact, members of our team received their second pair of pants in June. The director had no invested interest in the baseball side of the organization. He never attended a game and basically allowed one family to control every aspect of our team's experience. Unfortunately that family really only had their son's best interest in mind and not the best interest of the entire team. We lost at least 5 coaches/assistants during the season. Our "head coach" was the daughter of the above mentioned family. She constantly spoke of Team Nebraska values and 'non-negotiables' but did not follow them unless it suited her. She punished players for comments or actions made by their parents and made decisions based on her own personal feelings rather than actual player ability. Some players were benched for one error in an inning while others could have 5+ and never get moved from their position. While the organization was a joke, I will say that my son learned some vaulable lessons about integrity and true sportsmanship. He was given opportunities by other adults who stepped in here and there and gained friendships. For that I am thankful.

The owner talks big, but in the end, can't run a club. Several players on my daughters team never received jerseys. Other pieces of the uniform showed up sporadically during the season (some as late as mid-June). The indoor facility was shut down at the beginning of the season without warning. Sounds like he's changing the name of the club to Team Fastpitch next year, so avoid that one too!

I believe the organization has the best of intentions but could not follow through. Unfortunately, our experience with this organization was not a positive one. In the end, we made a decision to ride out this year and call it a learning experience.

My daughter loves the TEAM Nebraska and her coaches. I really like that they focus on playing the game the right way and showing respect for the coaches, umpires, and parents.
