I called a number of places and had my car looked at one other place. I received quotes between $4500 and $6800 to replace my transmission. Omaha Transmission was on the cheaper side, but they had the best warranty and price combination. After reading reviews, I know they were the best shop to do the work I needed. They were quick and friendly. They made me feel like they knew me personally every time I stopped in. They certainly have my recommendation!

Worked with Nick and James after taking my car from one transmission shop to Omaha Transmission. At the end of the day the diagnostics between the two shops were the same. However, James with Omaha took time to explain the whole issue to me, explained what was wrong, and why the parts they replaced needed replacing. The fact that he took the time to let me ask any and all questions and answered them honestly and without any distain. I hope to never have to replace another transmission again, but if I do I know exactly where I will be going.James, Nick thank you both!

Nick has always done me right. I used to be a mechanic but besides the guy who taught me how to work on cars Nick is the only other one who has ever touched my Charger. Nick always has great service and doesn't just jump to conclusions like 3 places that the dealership sent me to. Best transmission guy I know!

Nick (owner) was very kind and understanding of my situation. I was under the impression my vehicle was having transmission issues after the accelerator was 'skipping' shortly after starting the vehicle. The issue persisted over two days, and I called with short notice on a Tuesday afternoon; they happily took my vehicle in and looked at it the morning after. What I thought was a transmission issue turned out to be just general engine maintenance. They informed me my vehicle's issues were unrelated to the transmission and that any mechanic shop would be able to replace the spark plugs and low fluid levels they discovered. I wanted to write this review as they easily could've misled someone like myself who doesn't know much about vehicles into a much larger, unnecessary purchase. I am pleased with the service I received and highly recommend Omaha Transmission for their honesty and professionalism. Thank you, Nick and your team!

This was such a seamless process. James was easy to work with and even pulled some items out of the car while it was being repaired for my sons baseball team. Great communication. Hands down the one and only place in Omaha you should consider getting your transmission serviced. I had to bring in my vehicle for a full transmission replacement. While everywhere else quoted me thousands of dollars more for the EXACT same job (and also what would have likely NOT have been the same quality of work I received) Nick and everyone at Omaha Transmission gave me the actual fair, honest price. In addition to this, they went above and beyond to explain everything that was wrong with the vehicle and how they fixed it.My car drives far better than it did before, and I’ve experienced no issues at all. Great customer service. Thought I had a major transmission issue but it turns out I just needed a neutral safety switch. I feel like many places would have said I needed a trans just to make money off me but not these guys. They took good care of my car and saved me thousands!

My transmission kept getting stuck in 2nd gear called a few shops but nobody wanted to work on a manual transmission, talked to Nick, owner of Omaha Transmission and he got me in and fixed the problem. Very good work and great people.Service: Transmission

O.T. was a life saver! I had a bad transfer case and bad transmission (don't buy a Nissan). After dealing with the run around for over a year from other auto shops (another story). Over the years, I’ve heard a lot of advertisements for Omaha Transmission, hoping in the back of my mind I would never have to go that route .. but I did and it was a great experience! Nothing but rude, I’ve explained my problems thoroughly and they have insisted otherwise. I get it “shops know best” but this wasn’t one of those cases. it’s hard finding an honest and loyal shop, and it’s beyond me how anyone could recommend them

I was parking too aggressively up against a wheel chock in my garage and I'd engage the parking brake before the vehicle could settle back down on to the floor. This bad habit made it difficult to put my car in reverse sometimes so I came in to Omaha Transmission thinking I'd need a new transmission or at least a repair of some sort, but after having it for an entire day, they told me everything looked great. They suggested a simple fluid change (not a flush) but they couldn't do it that day (crazy busy) so they gave me a nice discount when I had it done later. Once I realized the problem was how I was parking, problem solved. ?The point to this story is, I came in to their shop expecting the worst possible news and they were honest, friendly, helpful, and very nice to deal with. If I ever need transmission work in the future I will definitely have it done here.PS - They are an extremely popular shop, with limited parking, and a packed schedule. Plan to be without your vehicle for an entire day no matter what is being done. I wasn't expecting another all day appointment for the fluid change so I felt I should mention it so anyone reading this won't be surprised by it like I was. Just plan accordingly. They're worth it.
