I did not have a good experience with the scheduling folks. Was able to get a much needed appointment quickly with help from my wife. The medical personnel conducting the procedure were great and I felt like I received great professional treatment from them.

If you can help it DONT GO HERE. Every doctor that works here is only in it for the money. They over charge. When I went to see Dr Rose I waiter 15 mins to see him he was in the room for 10 mins asked a total of 5 questions did no exam and didn't do anything. Then they sent me to Dr. Cisler for my upper and lower gi procedures and he was worse no bed side manner stood at the doorway where other patients could hear him about what he found after and didn't even tell me everything that I had wrong. I saw him maybe for 5 mins before and 5 mins after. Every doctor I have seen thought Midwest have been horrible. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I never write these; but, felt I had to leave our experiences after just having our first visit. Our great diabetic doctor, Clair Baker, referred us. I gave them a call. The person on the phone was efficient, polite and found us a cancelation for the next morning. We arrived and were called to the next available receptionist in no time. She was who you want meeting the public. Very friendly and had the insurance and identification taken quickly. She then gave us a tablet to complete the background information.. We then were led back to a room by a nice young lady who took the vitals and check in information for Lindsay O'Neil, our PA, who listened carefully to all the symptoms. She determined a procedure was needed and took us to scheduling. They were also very pleasant and found an opening for Monday morning. We were there on a Friday.
We waited a month to see a nephrologist and had to go to a nearby town to get in sooner than our town that the office is in.
So far, we have had nothing but a great experience with this facility. They have treated us so well in circumstances where patients aren't always feeling the best.

I've received care here for 10 years. My doctor is absolutely excellent. My disappointment is with the implications involved in scheduling. This is a high volume medical facility. As such, appointments are booked well in advance. But it seems like there is an implied obligation that the patient accepts the appointment times offered rather than plan further out for a day that works for the patient. Prior to giving the scheduling options, the person I spoke to went through a pre-screening process. When I didn't accept the appointment days/times offered, then they said something to the effect of, "Well that negates everything we just did," referring to the prescreen process. Well, I didn't call soon enough, and that's my fault. My consequence is that my procedure must wait. A patient can't allow the consequence to be assigned by representatives of the office by making someone feel as if they've wasted someone else's time or patience. That's not reality. Their wage, be it hourly or salary, was going to be earned whether the prescreening checklist was going to be immediately applicable or not. On two different occasions, someone in the scheduling department had become terse with me because I needed to check with my spouse to confirm availability. This is important because for some procedures, a ride from a friend or family member is mandatory.
In one case several years back, I was cut off mid-sentence and the scheduler retorted, "I know, because you need to check with your wife." It was almost as if that comes up quite a bit in the scheduling process. But no grace is offered though the schedules of two people are affected. Perhaps go over appointment options prior to the prescreen. Patients, in general, are paying for a service (even with insurance) that they should expect to plan on their time unless its emergent. No one should be made to feel beholden, and I certainly don't. This type of experience has happened more than once, and based on the reviews of others, it seems to happen to other patients from time to time as well. Its a tough road because other gastroenterology centers locally are just as busy.

Dr. Alli berated me for the entire interaction about something that he perceived to be occurring based in prejudice that was not. Did not listen to anything that I was saying. Additionally, this individual wrote horribly derogatory information in his notes also based in prejudice and bias and no evidence whatsoever that has resulted in my experiencing extreme difficulty in receiving treatment for my potentially life-threatening medical condition. Thank you.

Takes forever to get results and when they told me I had to talk to a dietitian they wouldn’t work with my work schedule and expected me to use pto to go see them. When I said I couldn’t go from 9-1pm the scheduler got really rude and said that I she would take it as a decline instead of helping find a time or refer me to someone else.

Dr Parbhu was very nice, understanding, patient and encouraging. Talking to him about my symptoms was easy and I appreciated the fact that he took them seriously and didn’t brush them off because “anxiety”. He truly listens and cares, thank you!

I don't ever do reviews. I was hesitant going here after all the negative reviews. But I have to say this place was top notch received better care here than most hospitals. And everyone on my care team was very nice and professional . Very clean facility as well!

Never go here. They’ll claim to take your insurance but then you’ll get a bill of $500+ just for a visit/consultation. They want to perform unnecessary procedures, tests, and X-rays to “diagnose” you. Even if you already have the diagnosis’s from another hospital.
They will not believe you if you show proof and tell them what conditions you have and refuse to treat you until they do the procedures themselves.
Unprofessional, money hungry, uneducated on gastro disorders/illnesses, and unsympathetic.
Absolutely appalling that this place is even still running.

As the designated driver for a friend having a procedure, I was encouraging him to not get there too early before check in time. He insisted on arriving early which turned out to be a good decision! He stood at the counter waiting to be acknowledged when finally an unfriendly person asked for paperwork etc and then could not find his file. She then announced we were at the wrong clinic. My friend showed her that the paperwork instructed to arrive at the Indian Hills clinic. She said, “not the first time this has happened!” No apology or friendliness to someone who had prepped for a procedure. Not acceptable! We were then sent to the Lakeside clinic. CHECK TO MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU START THE PREP that they are sending you to the right clinic. And if this has happened before than FIX IT! And get your staff some customer service training!
