Last year I got flea and tick prevention that included heart worm, I didn't have to make an appt which was great. Then today I called to do the same deal for my two dogs. They told me no because one dog needed to be tested before anything, and another dog hadn't had an exam since "2021" which I know is false cause we have records from last year (2022) on her being there and said she needed a full health exam before I can get flea treatment?? I have never had to jump through this many hoops to make sure my dogs are protected from flea and ticks. All they seem to care about is money. I can barley afford the $100 treatment for my two dogs, let alone and additional $100+ in exams just to get the flea preventative. Price gouging asf.

VERY UPSET.. went in to get my dogs ear looked at and nails trimmed. All they did was give her a shot and said can't do the nails or fix the ear.. wasted money to not even have my dog get fixed. Don't recommend at all.

There are positive things and non-positive things about this clinic. This clinic used to be top notch when it was first opened by Dr. Dobson. We have been going there about 22 years. Slowly I have seen changes occurring that make me have less inspiration about the place. The positive things are the prices. Their prices are lower. They give Senior discounts. They allow you to purchase your heart worm medication on a monthly basis. If you can't afford the yearly heart worm exam, they used to allow you to sign a waiver, and still get your medicine to protect your dog. They no longer do this. If you don't have the heart worm exam, you don't get the medicine. Dr Dobson has retired, but occasionally she returns. Dr. Dobson, herself, is fantastic. She gives a lot of her time at other programs. They used to be open 7 days a week. Not anymore, so I would validate their hours. Due to COVID, you still cannot go in the office with your dog. Recently our dog got very ill and collapsed. I called the office and was told that they only see a limited amount of sick dogs a day. They don't accept emergencies, even during working hours. They said I could call every morning at 7:30am and see if a slot opens. Meanwhile....my dog is dying, so that really doesn't work for me. Maybe it's just me, but after being a loyal patient for 22 years, it leaves me with a bittersweet taste. Yes, I could go to urgent care and pay an arm and a leg, to someone who doesn't know the history of my dog, as they suggested to me on the phone. I ended up taking my dog to another vet so he could be diagnosed with lung cancer. I will let everyone make their own decisions on this. As I said, price wise they are a great place to deal with, but I'm looking more for the Caring and the Heart when it comes to my dog. Maybe the Caring and the Heart costs a bit more?

Brought my dog here and expressed concern that he wasn't eating and was very bloated. They barely paid it any mind, said he might have worms (despite not checking his p*** or anything -truly just made a random guess) and sent him on his way. We took him to a different vet 3 weeks later who ran actual tests and found he had liver failure and had barely two weeks left to live. This clinic is absolute trash and if you care about your pets at all, go anywhere else.

The staff is fantastic!!! They care for your furry family members like they are your own. I would never take my girls anywhere else.

Very nice staff, helped me with all I needed and took great care of our puppy! The price was not bad for all they had done, and genuinely seemed concerned about our puppy!

Been going here for years. My dog we used to have before we had to have him put down. He had a real nice Doctor that really cared about pets but sadly he decided to work for a pharmaceutical company that paid better and allowed him to spend more time with his family. Then Dr Dobson was my current dogs doctor for sometime but she wasn't as nice. Then she sold the place. Now my dog has a new doctor who happens to be out of office til Thursday and she said if benadryl doesn't work for his flea bites and allergies I can call and come in to get prescription strength allergy meds cause he's itching and scratching his skin raw. So I call down there and they tell me his new Doctor is out til Thursday and no other doctor on duty can prescribe him any meds. And says I can't come in and I need to wait for her to call when she said for us to call there if benadryl didnt work. What a bunch of crap i guess they think he can suffer until then basically. So i gotta take him elsewhere this place sucks I do not recommend this animal clinic to anyone shame on them. Well after complaining next day I did finally get to come in wed and my dog finally got a steroid injection for allergies & inflammation this morning. And now he's not itching & biting his skin raw like crazy glad of that but my review still remains the same unless I see otherwise.

Our dogs may actually like going here. The staff are so great to our dogs and you can tell they genuinely care about animals. The office is setup by people who understand animals. There is plenty of room and you hardly see other people/pets in the lobby. That's because they have plenty of rooms and understand how to schedule visits. Waiting in a room with 5 other dogs going nuts isn't part of the program here...and I love it! During the exams they do a great job of introducing treats and keeping animals and people calm during the visit. One of our dogs had to get blood drawn recently and the needle hurt him a little. After a yelp, a case of the "zoomies" and a treat he was licking hands and forgot all about the needle. Our dogs were hesitant to go into other vet offices after bad experiences. With 24th Street our dogs have learned there will be plenty of petting, treats, and smiling faces...so they run to the door when we show up! This is arguably the BEST spot for anyone to take their pets on the east side of Omaha. Easy to get to off the interstate and parking is never an issue.

This vet has always been great but when we sadly had to put my dog down (I couldn't be there the day to say goodbye)we were told they would make a paw print and send it to us. No print was ever received so I don't know if they just tell people they do this to comfort them or what happened.

Dr. Dobson and the 24th Street Animal Clinic have been my chosen vet for over 20 years. Dr. Dobson is caring and down to earth in her treatment and the staff at the clinic are always friendly.

After 20+ years of this being my vet for multiple animals I will no longer be using their services. Since it changed hands it's much less about the animals and more about turning a buck. When you read positive reviews take into account the date of the review. The quality of service has changed at this establishment.
