This review is for the Hy-Vee at 180th & Q restaurant. My wife and I have been coming here for breakfast once or twice a week for about a year or so.Today we once again had the Grand Slam breakfast and once again the eggs were absolutely perfectly cooked, the sausage was very fresh and tasty, the hash browns were crispy like we asked for, the fruit was absolutely fresh, the iced tea perfect, toast/english muffins freshly toasted and hot, and to top it off all the staff was very professional, courteous, competent, and friendly. This is our favorite breakfast restaurant.

This Hy-Vee is very poorly ran. It is impossible to simply go in, get groceries, pay, and leave at this location. Every time I go there, it is a disaster. It is a baseball throw from my house, but I do everything in my power to shop elsewhere despite the proximity of it. I will drive a ways to the Pacific location just to not have to incur the major inconveniences associated with the 180th and Q location.

I've been filling a number of scripts since a work related fall resulting in multiple fractures two years ago. 3/2/23 2 diff doctors phoned in scripts. One was oxycodone 5mg #40 the other was for percocet 10/325 #90. I saw that both scripts were filled the same day I called the pharmacy & spoke with Nick.I told him it was not necessary for me to pick up both of those scripts the same day and said I'd pick up the oxycodone #40 & fill the percocet when my #40 ten day supply was depleted. I called to fill the percocet today because my 10 day supply ends on Saturday and work comp scripts run through the computer for payment aren't authorized on the weekend. When I called to ensure the oxycodone was ready on 3/2 the woman answering said it wasn't going through with work comp & I explained to her that anything filled after 3:30pm m-f wouldn't be approved as my adjustor is not available. She offered to run it through my private insurance for authorization but I explained that would be fraudulent & that I'd just pay cash. Fast forward to today when I spoke with Lindsey. The first thing she said was "nope I will not be filling that for you, you picked it up the other day." Again, Nick did not dispense it on 3/2. I tried explaining this situation to her again but she continued to talk over me. I told her to please allow me to speak or get someone else on the phone. I explained the situation & that I could have easily picked up both prescriptions on 3/2 but asked Nick to place the #90 on hold until I needed it. She said "nope I'm not filling it you picked up oxycodone #40 a week ago." At that time I told her that because it's work comp it needed to be authorized before the weekend otherwise I'd have to wait until Monday. I have been bedridden and unable to walk for over two years. I have multiple fractures in my leg & ankle that for 2 yrs haven't healed. Does she think it's funny to accuse someone of misusing medication? Does she contain any ounce of humanity or kindness?

My husband came with the worst chicken from the deli at Stoneybrook we have ever had, looks like it set under warming lights all day. The driest hardest chicken ever. My grandkids asked " What's wrong with this chicken?"Will say potatoes and gravy were okay.

The crew that help out here are seriously top notch. They know their beer and are extremely helpful. Also, I love they carry a good amount of local brews. Keep it up!

When you enter the store the first thing you see is a Starbucks if that's your thing your in luck. Today was my first visit this location and I was a little less than impressed. Like some of my previous post on grocery stores the lay out and flow really helps customers. The layout and flow was a struggle for me as a new shopper to this location. I spent about 10 minutes in the produce section trying to find the 5 items I needed. Moving on to the meat department the seafood is separated quite a bit from pork, beef and chicken which caused my wait time to be longer at the counter trying to get the attention of the butchers to come help me. This location is older and has fewer staff members than other locations in the area. I personally love Hy Vee and the selections and helpful staff. But I will take the extra drive no matter what to get back to the 180th and Pacific location over any other around the area. The management, staff and flow of that location fits together more with what I expect and hope for as a customer.

Good clean location with friendly staff. Good alcohol selection. A few other stores have more square footage and additional wine selections. This one has a large walk-in cooler where you can grab cold 6 & 12 packs of beer/coolers/seltzers.

Trying to understand the change in the fuel saver card. Being a loyal customer that only shops at HyVee, I’m disappointed that apparently the discount only applies to the most expensive gas they sell. In reality I ended up spending a $.60 more per gal than expected. Even thou I had $1.02/gallon in perks rewards. Expected to pay $1.89 Instead spent $2.58/gallon. I can spend the normal price at any place. Why worry about giving Hyvee all the business

Took 1 hr 10 minutes to get 2 omelets. And the server just ignored you until she had to come over. When we finally got our food. The potatoes were not done and and it was all cold.

This location is almost always busy, yet it always seems clean and well stocked. Their prices are a bit higher than the National chains such as Walmart. You pay a bit of a premium for the cleanliness And friendliness for the employees. For this visit we picked up their sushi for a quick dinner. The sushi is made fresh each day and rivals some sushi restaurants in town. It's an excellent no hassle dinner for those looking for something a bit fancier than drive thru.
