My husband has been using HRBlock for years and now I'm wondering what else they've messed up. This was my first time because I always filed by myself and I'm going back to that after this experience. First thing that went wrong is Steve messed up my SOC number on the forms. I verbally said it, I had my soc card for him. Still messed it up then calls me 2 days later asking for the correct number. We chose the advanced pay option, cost $50 to do. Because of the delay caused by the wrong soc # we were told we aren't eligible for advance pay anymore but no refund of the $50 and money still sent to the emerald card meaning we would have to pay transfer fees to put it in our banks when we could've done that for free in the first place had we known we would have to wait the full 3-4 weeks. Now we have a letter from the IRS saying something was filed wrong and we have to pay more money to the IRS. We were told to email a complaint and have gotten nothing in return. Terrible
Update: I was reimbursed $10 out of the hundreds we lost. Pathetic

Diana was the BEST! Very patient, knowledgeable, and took her time with me and return. I was nervous going in to file but she put my fears to rest and got right to work! She made sure I got what all I rightfully deserved back for my refund and all deductions and explained everything and answered all my questions. I felt a sigh of relief leaving the office and will be returning next year to file with her again!

-First time with my preparer at this location. Vonnetta is a gem. She patiently took the time to answer my questions and explain the what's and why's in a nonjudgmental manner. Vonetta showed professionalism in her knowledge as well as friendliness. I liked how I could see what she was doing on the screens as she plugged in my numbers. The location is a bit tricky to pull into if you are coming from West Dodge, so plan route. I've got my appointment scheduled for next year with Vonetta at the same location!

I believe that you should give credit when due & they did get me all I had coming. With that being said it was not the best experience. 40 days, 7 trips & 4 charges later but the first 25 days they wouldn’t return my call & finally called National customer service. They called the next day. In all fairness they did some amended returns so charges were going to occur. I don’t get why it wasn’t all done at once however because now it’s all by mail & 30-40 days after my first appt. Add in the month I was ignored along with 6-12 weeks, 3-4 months later I’ll start to get refund. They did get all the money zI had coming but I did have it coming. It was just handled very poorly. Made me feel like I really didn’t matter. I realize they have bigger fish to fry but you still don’t put a client off for a month. Thing is, they really won’t care. It’s the real world of it all. This is just my experience here this year. Last year was okay but I tried again this year due to location & not because I was real impressed from the last time. Tuff time of the year for them but you can’t not call back a client leaving messages for nearly a month.
