It was extremely interesting visiting the shops, watching the artists work and interact with the public was great. Got to watch real glass blowers creating artistic pieces. Definitely a place to go if you are interested in any type of arts....from costume design and art by Valerie, photographs by Terry, to violins being made, there is something for everyone.

Hot Shops has an unparalleled selection of local art both for sale and for viewing. The beauty of being able to bear witness to the process of creation as well is beyond remarkable. Whether it be functional dishware, jewelry, painting, sculpture, glasswork - it would be a fool's errand to cover it all - come see the wonders hiding within Hot Shops' walls!

We really enjoyed ourselves. Would not really recommend for kids. Maybe older or those really into art. Loved talking to some of the artists and seeing them at work. Glad I read the reviewed about the stairs 🤣 but honestly they were not too much. Would recommend. Plan about an hour even 2 there is so much to see I don’t feel like we saw it all.

My wife and I did the Glassblowing Workshop for Two and were blown away (pun intended)! Samuel was our instructor and he was absolutely great. He was easy to talk to, you could ask him questions, and most importantly he let us actually do a lot. He allowed us, within reason of course, to do as much of the work as we were comfortable with which was amazing. We each made a paperweight, and my wife made a vase while I made a bowl.I would definitely recommend going to Hot Shops (Crystal Forge, to be precise) to have some fun and come away with something really cool and unique. I'll definitely be scheduling something with Samuel in the future.

This is a really cool place to check out some of Omaha's artists. Glass work, paintings, even a violin Luther.

I'm nearing the end of my four-week Pottery: Beginning Throwing course with Rob Johnson, and I can't wait to keep practicing beyond my class! Our instructor has done a wonderful job of letting us get comfortable with a new medium while providing necessary feedback and detailed explanations in a kind, knowledgeable way.I was worried the class might be too overwhelming or overstimulating for me, but the studio isn't overly lit with florescent lights, and we get a lot of quiet time to focus. I'll be even more obsessed with Hot Shops once they, hopefully, get enough funds raised for an elevator.I'm beyond satisfied with my experience, and I can't wait to get signed up for independent study!

The talent in this building is unmatched. There are so many things to see. It’s a must visit. The blown glass gets lots of attention. Don’t pass up an open bay. You may get a glimpse of some amazing wooden carved sculptors, photography, paintings, and so much more.Bring your wallet, as you’ll want to take some of these gems home, to call them your own!

Hot Shops is a delightful mix of artists' studios, a hot shop, gallery and a large room that was set up for four areas with torches where groups learned new techniques in bead making. I also came back for a session to blow my own glass pumpkin! Vicki my instructor was marvelous. The cost was $75. Highly recommend. Wonder around and see the art or sign up for one of their activities.

Wow! It's like an art museum, art show, art sale and art studio all in one. There is such a variety of artwork going on and a delightful eyeful of art everywhere we looked. The people are inviting and friendly showing off their work while creating more. We talked to a variety of artists and had a fun time wandering 3 floors of interesting art.
