Stay away from this bank. If I could give 0 stars I would. Was told one thing when I set up accounts for my son and I. 2 weeks later I'm told a completely different story. So now I have no access to my accounts and I'm out of state with my cell phone that will be shut off come Sunday and my rent is due.

I've been banking at Core Bank for more than 14 years now, they are by far the Best bank I have ever banked with. Believe me, I've had bank accounts at every bank in my past, I will never bank anywhere else regardless of where in the US I choose to live. Those who rate Core bank a one star, don't believe them. They are Always the best of the best!!

Update! After posting this review they sent me a letter closing my account and returning a very small amount of money. Avoid them. This bank takes advantage of single mothers, charging over $1000 in bank fees over the last 3 months for the same charges. It is impossible for me to catch up, as they keep charging me for the same mistake I made back in October. They have no compassion for individuals, they refuse to help me. Branch manager "Mark" and the assistant manager "Sarah" do not answer phone calls or return them. If a call is returned at all it is several days later. If I attempt to visit the bank to speak to them in person, they are conveniently gone to lunch, or on a break, each time I try. This is the worst customer service I have ever recieved. I have been a customer for more years than I can remember and there was a time when I absolutely loved this local bank. You could connect with a real person if help was needed and they would actually help you! They also reply to reviews stating they will reach out to you and then they never actually do.

I'm not one to point and shout discrimination, but it's disgustingly obvious at this company. There's NO POC in leadership. None. At any store. The leadership is garbage at best, no direction or clear path to other opportunities. Just a run around. The management will tell you one thing and do another. Especially if it will get them in trouble or a dispute, there's no trust because they're trying to step on you to better their own opportunity. I'm very competitive and thought, maybe I could break the mold here. I quickly realized that would never happen. I worked here 2yrs ago, it took me this long for a review because of how angry I was. I was or thought I was a valued employee. My peers and I worked very well together, the clients loved me and I was upsold a lot of them, and my branch manager appeared to value my presence and experience as well. Then my wife had an emergency and needed to be rushed to the hospital, she was pregnant with my youngest daughter and wasn't due for another 3 months. I was excused from work to take her to the doctor. In fact they urged me to go, which as they should. She had severe preeclampsia and needed to be checked in to the hospital. I kept in touch with my manager literally like she was my mother because I didn't know what was goin on and quite frankly I was scared to death. But they were well aware of what was going on and the severity, they told me to stay and keep in touch. The next day she is rushed into an emergency c-section to give birth to our baby 3 months early. That's terrifying. The day all this went on was the only day I didn't message them, yet they knew where I was and the severity. Directly after my child and wife finished the surgery I contacted to let them know what happened, only 1 day had passed and this was a literal life or death situation. Again, I was told to stay with my wife. They claimed that because I didn't contact them that day that it was considered a "no-call/no-show" and terminated me. Yes they fired me when I was with my wife, who could've died giving birth to our 3 month early child who also could've died, and they knew where I was.... contacting them the entire time. When I went in to talk with the District Manager he first "congratulated me" and then informed he made the decision due to lack of communication, with a smirk on his face. How did you know to congratulate if there was a lack of communication? I tried showing him the messages and call time stamps, he said "I'm aware of them". Needless to say this infuriated me which turned into me now being "the angry black man" trying to figure out if I was in the Twilight Zone to make sense of all this. He even threatened to call the cops to escort me out. This whole company is a joke. From the literal top to the bottom. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here to work, do business or even go inside to use their bathroom.

Do not Bank here. They will steal your money like they did mine. They say they will provide the best banking experience however all they cared about was themselves. Stay far away from this bank.

Terrible bank, never fails to show me how much they suck. Intend on closing my account on my next business day off. I went to pay rent yesterday after depositing money into my account Saturday which was told it would be ready to use Monday. It was not available to use Monday, so I had money transferred from another account to pay rent. Today I log into my app to show that my account was -$99! I thought this was impossible due to the fact that I had more money in my account that what was needed to pay rent. When I called core bank they told me they would push my deposit through, it should’ve already been in my account, cool, but what about the -$99. He told me it was a system error so then I ask well can you fix how my account was -$99? He said no you didn’t have that money in your account. So I asked him does your app not reflect what it in someone’s account, and he said yes. I then explained that I had more money in my account then what was needed to pay my rent and he just kept saying how it was a system error but he could not fix the negative charge core bank had on my account. Great move core bank... please don’t bother reaching out to me, I won’t be replying due to a system error.
