“Of all the grocery stores in town, Fareway has the best meat consistently. Though this location is fairly new, I've shopped at various Fareways for 30 years. My parents and I used to own a small grocery store over in Iowa, so I know good stores when I see them. I also know the bad ones. There is a brand of grocers that I refuse to buy meat from. However, Fareway is the only place I feel has the quality, cleanliness, and consistency needed at every one of their locations. And they're affordable! For a "meat market", this store doesn't have quite the variety I was expecting. But I'll gladly trade that for the benefits of shopping where I know I can get the best quality for the money spent.”

4823 S 27th St, Omaha“This store may not have a fancy appearance, but it offers exceptionally fresh meat. Finding it might be a bit tricky even if you park right in front, but don't worry—just follow the entrance. Known for its freshly processed meat, there's a common misconception that it only sells whole animal meat. In fact, you can also purchase smaller quantities, starting from as low as 5 pounds. They provide halal meat, allowing you to follow your religious practices in sacrificing animals. While the space is compact, it's an excellent choice for quality meat.”

“My best friend brought me to Casanova's for lunch.Excellent: he had a homemade soup, a hearty creamy chicken soup, based on a Peruvian recipe. I had an Italian tapas plate--a fennel salami, a prosciutto, some balsamic-glazed mozz, and too much more to mention. Tasted the sparkling Cava and a red Primitivo (the original Zin, literally. Italian), both punching well above their modest price.Sat at the small counter. Learned a lot about wine and butchery chatting with the owner. Casanova's will be a regular stop now when I'm in Omaha.”
