Went in there on Thursday and was greeted by a nice lady behind the counter told her I was going to get a membership and she walked me through it with out asking me a ton of questions and she was knowledgeable and got me set up and it was not a problem. Some of these gyms are really pushy about signing up for this and that she was very helpful and yes she asked but stopped when I told her not now. Hopefully my visits go well there

Hate that I even gave them one star. Absolute scumbags. My girlfriend cancelled her membership back in September and these compete wastes of oxygen human beings decided to charge her $180 this week. Also no payments have come out monthly since September so we thought it was canceled. They finally got back to us (after days of them saying the manager is in a meeting) saying the worker that helped her doesn’t work there anymore so there’s no record of her canceling . Said they can’t reimburse her and offered gym credits? Especially during the holidays this is UNACCEPTABLE. DO NOT go here, they are crooks and deserve to be shut down.

For the most part it is a good gym, the staff is friendly and the equipment is good as well, but one guy at the front desk, I don't know if he knows how to work the cash register or not but every time I want to buy something he tells me that the cash register is not working and he says that with an aditud! On the other hand, the lady that works Saturday mornings is really nice and polite!

Went in to cancel my membership in September but the employee Sam did not put it into the system apparently- I received no calls, emails or charges to my account until Thursday 12/14 when Caleb the manager called to let me know my account was not cancelled and I had a balance due and did not tell me the amount- he asked me to come in Friday 12/15 to meet with him, but he left the gym before our meeting with NO NOTICE FOR ME. I then had a $180 charge on my account for a membership I thought I cancelled months ago. Today, a wonderful employee named Ira assisted me with cancelling my membership around 8a, left my contact info for Caleb to get ahold of me in order to get a refund and still have not heard anything back and it is now 10:15. Horrible management with poor communication and employees that don’t file things that should be filed.Avoid this gym at all costs unless you want your money taken out of the blue!

WARNING! SCAM! DO NOT ever PREPAY at any of these Blue Moon gyms! Joel Potter, the CEO, "Chief Englightenment Officer," advertised a year-long, pre- paid-in-full, promo during the month of September, 2023. He then PERMANENTLY CLOSED the Lincoln, Nebraska, location TEN DAYS LATER on 9/17/2023, refusing to issue me a refund. I prepaid $213.43 on September 7, 2023 for a full calendar year contract with Blue Moon Fitness, Lincoln, North 48th location and tried to cancel a week later at the Lincoln location just as soon as I caught wind they were closing it. The acting manager, Kole Connick, refused to refund my money. I then contacted Joel Potter directly and politely asked for a refund of my money. He explained that he had arranged for me to travel five additional miles roundtrip to the closest Anytime Fitness in North Lincoln. He acted as though he was doing me a favor. I explained that I WAS NOT INTERESTED IN HIS RENEGOTIATION of the terms and could I PLEASE just have my money refunded. He refused and was quite rude insisting that he had not done anything wrong by breaking the contract. What happened to common decency and the customer always being right? I find it sad that businessmen are allowed to treat their customers so poorly. This was not a great gym to begin with. On Aug 1st I went in person and canceled my membership. Then today Aug 5th I went to check my bank account and they still charged me as if if still a member there. Like I was warned that this is would happen to me, but I was hoping it was not true. I have the email saved and screenshot of the document saying I HAVE fulfilled my 12 month contract! So I don’t understand why I am still getting charged.

Horrible gym and awful management. They will go out of their way to make canceling your membership as difficult as possible. I highly recommend joining elsewhere and avoiding this scam.Response to Joel: I joined at the Central location and had all club access. Thanks for providing the literature. My point is Blue Moon specifically goes out of its way to make the cancellation process as difficult as possible. When signing up I verbally asked the employee what the cancellation process is and they assured me it was very simple and immediate. It would be good business to be clear when signing people up. Might help with these bad reviews and you wouldn’t have to try to justify anything.Hope this helps somehow. If you want more clarity feel free to pull my number from the system and give me a call.

It's a shame i have to leave something like this, but when i had came in looking for a day pass i was told to get a week membership and cancel it before the week end and come in to cancel and do so for the cheapest option. So i did, then a month later, I learn I've been charged several times for a more expensive membership when i was told it was a weekly one that i had already canceled, so i went in and the employee who signed me up either misread or told me wrong to get more commission. i dont know. But the fact that the assistant manager (who was very kind) didn't have access and couldn't help should be a wake-up call to administration to re-look on how complex they make their contracts. I was told one thing and had to go in 3 separate times and not get refunded after i had gone to initially cancel it. Maybe some restructuring needs to happen there, but that's just so much for trying to go in on ONE day. EDIT: Got called by the manager and went in a FOURTH time. It was a nice meeting, but even HE can't issue a refund. I got offered some free membership, but my business was already elsewhere, i was looking for a simple refund. So this review will stay here until that happens. Just being transparent, again, nice manager and assistant manager. They just dont seem to have access to much.

Had a membership here for sometime, only switched because of the distance although for anybody nearby, this is a good location with a very professional manager and very kind staff, would recommend.

These guys are the worst. Try ripping you off even when you clearly tried to cancel membership multiple times. Incompetent and shady business practices. Awful. Just plain awful. Literally the worst.

I like this location because it is not too many people for me and I have spent time relaxing.
