This group prowled a parking lot very clearly marked as "PUBLIC PARKING" but starts towing cars after 9pm despite the kiosks not taking payments that late on Saturday nights. They will two a car over the weekend but hold on to it until Monday morning. How is this not a scam?!

Tow Pros is also operating as Heartland Towing. Same owner, Joe Livingston, drives the Tow Pros truck with an INACTIVE US DOT NUMBER. When we went through to dispatch over the phone to try and talk to a person & learn more information about the location of my vehicle and why I was towed, the man did not give me his name or the name of the company, but knew a lot about the deal he had made with the business owner who's lot I was towed from. I later learned that's because pressing 4 for dispatch puts you through to Joe himself, despite him pretending he's 'just the tow' and cannot help with or schedule vehicle recovery. He will operate as his own "dispatch" 24/7 because his money maker is predatory towing but only pick up the phone as Joe/arrange vehicle recovery with members of the public between extremely limited "business hours" of 10am-3pm Monday-Friday. I was towed from Supermercado on Vinton St. after their business owner recently decided to enforce tows. I was unaware of this change. I have been parking there at least once a month for a year for a few hours at a time participating in the block's business event, Friday 2 on Vinton St., where neighboring businesses host art gallery walks and music shows through the night. While participating in these events, I've often also been a customer to Supermercado, happily using the grocery store to purchase drinks and food for the galleries or myself. I was unaware that the recently put up blue light camera was to monitor the lot enforce towing. A single sign had been put up to notify the public of tows, which I only found after looking for it upon finding my car gone off the lot. We showed up to Supermercado to discuss our options with the business owner and to notify him that the towing company he has chosen to do business with has a terrible reputation online. I admitted I wanted to meet Joe myself before officially passing judgment, but explained what I had read here on Yelp: that he suspiciously will only take cash, despite operating a business who incurs expensive and unexpected fees on the public - that he is known to be rude and unfriendly, according to anecdotes, and has no official website detailing a location of the tow lot nor has provided the location of our vehicles. The owner of Supermercado "called in a favor" and arranged with Joe for us to get our cars that same day, Saturday, instead of wait until Monday at 10am which would prevent us being able to get to work through the weekend and at a normal time Monday... and told us that calling their number and going to dispatch will put us through to Joe. Once I called Joe, he was abrasive and impolite over the phone from the bat, explaining that we were lucky he's going to come in on a day he doesn't work and that we should be grateful he's going to allow us to recover our cars. He told us the fee is $202.35 cash only. I questioned if there was no way he could take a credit card at all, and he said, "It's not that I CAN'T. I CAN take cards, I WILL NOT take cards, because people like to use their cards and dispute the transaction and screw me over, so NO, I WILL NOT take it. Cash." Joe also, as people report, led me on a silly goose chase to get to his tow lot on 6601 C St. I already had the address thanks to Yelp reviews, and had scoped it out prior to know its location and see whether my car was being safely stored (it was behind a locked gate with a camera outside the lot. Some cars, which looked abandoned, were outside of the gate, however.) Instead of arranging a specific time and location to meet at the tow lot, he said he was already on the way to the lot and to meet him, with our cash, on 72nd and Grover. We knew his lot wasn't exactly there, but this was a nearby and popular intersection with a Casey's. Joe - why don't you just give out the exact street address of your tow lot? Are you operating improper business? We have to go on site anyway to get our cars and can remember what street we&

It was almost 11pm on a cold night, and my car died in a place where it was obstructing the road. I knew it would be towed by the city and impounded in the morning if I did not get it towed right away. I called this company, and I was towed within the hour to exactly where I wanted the car to be left off. The driver was even nice enough to drop me off at my friend's house so I didn't have to walk there. Great service!!

Wish I could leave a 0 star. We called the cops (with some advice from another reviewer, thanks for the tip) just to make sure they are honest, first quoted us $217.25. Still rude to us upon meeting them in person... incase anyone is interested the address for the lot is 6625 C St. Out of staters, be careful when parking in Omaha, this is a predatory business and will ask for more $$$ from you. A cash only and need to have proof of ownership on hand and your keys. Remember to check your vehicle thoroughly as they are known to take personal things.Once the cops showed up he was more compliant. He charged us for two Days of storage... it was in the lot for less than 24hrs (15hrs).In the end we got our van and it looked like everything was still intact and in place. Have your brakes checked upon return... be sure to engage your parking brake in case of being towed.

Paid for my parking spot, granted I spaced out on putting the proof on my dashboard but I paid for 3 days got my car taken instantly. The person was very dismissive when I called and asked the amount and refused to give me the address and the amount. Told me to call Monday morning. When I did contact them that morning told me to meet them at a gas station, then gave me all of these insane directions that I couldn’t figure out so I asked if he could give me an address again or what it would be buy and once again, he refused. Was a total 25min looking for this location… finally found it was the most sketchy place and the guy was in his car. He was still dismissive when I asked why he couldn’t give me an exact location and just asked for the money and my Id. Drove my car up to me which I thought was weird and then was recording me and my friend who I was with. I tried seeing if having proof of my ticket will do anything, could care less. I was super uncomfortable with the whole situation especially with him recording us. This whole interaction was terrible and irritating, idk how these things should be ran but I know something is off.

This crook stole my prescription pills from my vehicle. He is a perfect example of little man syndrome. He was very high on meth, causing him to hallucinate a reality where he was an attorney. He had the audacity to talk to two real attorneys, (one of which has practiced law for 44 years in Omaha) attempting to teach them the law. His sparkly, girly jeans were clearly impeding on his mobility, and the skinny pants were struggling to carry his 5'4, 110lb body.

Predatory business, as stated in previous reviews. Impound lot is only "open" from 10-3 even though you are calling the owner, each and every time you call. This is so people working normal business hours cannot get their vehicles and more day charges can be incurred. Business does not give any information outside of 10-3 hours such as, where can I get my vehicle, how much will it cost me, etc. Signage used by the business to provide parking requirements are unclear and misleading. I wish zero stars was an option.Impound lot location: 6625 C St, Omaha NEOwner owns the entire strip, impound lot, Christiansen Excavating, and the House with all the stuff around it.Service: Car towing

The creepiest most sketchy thing I’ve experienced as a young woman in Omaha. The men are greasy and mean. They are a cash only business that doesn’t have frequent prices. They told us $202 over the phone and then $217 when we called the second time. It was the same day. The location on google is not accurate. We were told if we didn’t get to the 72nd and Grover location in 15 min, our car would be left until Monday. The towing place closes at 5 and it was 3:30 when this happened. When getting to the lot, the man took my partner’s wallet out of the car and looked through it. If you are a business in need of towing, go through a different company.Service: Car towing

Got my car towed from an unclear parking lot on Friday night in downtown Omaha and he would not release the car until Monday morning so I could not go to work all weekend. The address on Google maps is not the actual business, it’s literally just a parking lot in a neighborhood in South Omaha. He only takes cash which is extremely suspicious. My car now has a broken front lip and a completely destroyed rear diffuser. Customer service is awful and when I called attention to the damage he just said, “See you in small claims court buddy.”Do everything in your power to avoid this place for your own good.

We had a firm time. After a half hour past this time I called and was told they had one stop before coming my way. Waited til one and a half hours past pickup time and recalled them. I was in eastern rural Council Bluffs off 240th street from hwy 92. He said he was now on the way..... from 120thand Center. No Thanks, and I left. I guess I was a low priority?

This company the worst most greasy thing I’ve ever felt with. Towed my car cross state lines, the same day it was towed. Would not allow me to even get my wife’s purse out of the car to get her license or registration that was “ not in there”. Told us we had 3 hours before it was moved again and we had to pay and another fee on top of the 200 he already took from us without us getting our car back. Do not use them!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want anything done correct I repeat do not use!!!!!!Service: Car towing
