Yes, to activate prescriptions you do have to wait sometimes a long time, but I am getting prescriptions at zero cost to me. People I have spoken with at the base pharmacy are very professional and helpful. To those that aren’t willing to be slightly inconvenienced, go to a civilian pharmacy and pay for your prescription.

Rita at the Offutt Satellite Pharmacy is amazing! She always has the answers, especially with my unusual scripts. I trust that she will do whatever's possible to ensure my meds ready when needed.

Neither better or worse than most other military pharmacies. They do have a medication disposal bin, which is convenient.

Prescriptions must be picked up by visiting the BX Pharmacy lobby. The satellite pharmacy fills all prescription refill requests and medications on our formulary prescribed by off-base providers (handwritten, faxed and electronic). Prescriptions called in will be ready for pickup in 3 duty days. Refills not picked up after seven duty days are returned to stock. New prescriptions from off base providers must be activated before they will be available for pickup.
