Upon arrival I was greeted at the door by a guy smoking who yelled “I’m locking the door in 5 minutes”. I grabbed what I needed and at the check out all he did was complain about how long he has worked today… (8 hours ?) I feel sorry for true locals that don’t have much of a choice other than driving to West Point and Fremont.

They never take cash. "It's not working." HOW?! There was recently a remodel they were closed how long? and still can't take cash?! Cant call to confirm times open or to ask if they're taking cash before you visit, they won't answer.

Never open when it’s supposed to be. Sign on the door will say they are closing at noon And the doors will be locked at 11:45. Call before you make the drive, chances are they won’t be open.

Always missing something. Never can gwt orders done. And managament is POOR. The woman who runs this store is rude, lazy and quite frankly doesnt know how a business should be ran. Always trying to find help but wont interview unless youre a female. 0/10 in my book. Needs to find new manegement and solely somene to do the job that she obviously is not.

The Oakland dollar general is a great place to shop. The staff is amazing and helpful, I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else in Oakland to shop for the necessities that we need. The manager is organized and was quick to hire needed people so that the store was able to get their original hours back.

They’re lying about their hours online and on their door. If you show up anytime after 5 they won’t even let you in. Store should just be shut down, the gas station is more useful.

The online hours indicate they are to be open until 10 daily.. on several occasions I have driven there to get necessities to find the doors closed and no one inside. I will no longer shop at this store. It's terrible maybe they should hire staff that actually wants to work instead of shutting it down every day.
