On a simple oil change they tightened my wife's drain plug to well over 50 lbs and stripped it. I found out 5,000 miles later one weekend when I'm changing everyone's oil. I stripped it further trying to get it off. I confronted them with this issue, under the impression that they would admit fault. I had the wrong impression. Instead, they tried to gaslight me, suggesting I was perhaps using the wrong size socket, even though it was stripped before I got to it. I told him there was over fifty pounds on it, and they said they trusted their tech. They still tried to charge me for the oil change after wasting all of this time. Folks, if you are stripping a drain plug getting it off, let's just say there is probably more than 12 pounds on that little guy. If fault had been admitted, I would not be here typing this. I cannot say I recommend them. However, there was an overall pleasant ambiance in the waiting area. Two stars.

I recently returned for a follow up appointment, and it was no charge. Nick usually helps me at the desk, and he's always friendly and knowledgeable. I can trust Pomp's and all staff. This is my go-to spot for all of my car oil changes and repairs. Thank you!

Wonderful as always! I am moving to Norfolk soon but I have family here. Everytime I am in town I swing by Pomps. They do great work at nice affordable prices and it is quick and easy. Plus the people are super friendly and explain things in ways I actually understand. Thank you for your awesome service!!!

Pomp's always does a great job on our vehicles. They changed our oil, rotated our tires, fixed the air conditioning and checked out a strange noise towards the rear of our car. They could have pushed that $320.00 repair on us right now but was honest about the fact that it could wait a little while to be repaired. That honesty is why I'll keep coming taking my vehicles to them every time we need service.

Samantha got me in right away as I had a tire that had a puncture. Nick the manager let me know that the tire was gonna have to be replaced and why, he took me back to the shop and showed me exactly what was going on and his reasoning which made sense. He priced out tires for me, they had them in stock, I went and grabbed a coffee with a friend and came back, and it was done. Very professional, courteous and prompt. This is really hard to find any more these days. If you need vehicle service or tires, don’t waste your time going anywhere else. Go see the folks at Pomp’s and they will take care of you!Went back today and replaced the other 2 tires on my pickup. I was on a limited time schedule and again…they got me in and out in no time flat!! I don’t know how they do it but these people are amazing to work with! Seriously, don’t waste your precious time anywhere else. Nick and Samantha are awesome!!

Nick and the others are so professional and polite. They always take the time to explain what’s going on and let you know your options. They also let you know when a repair is not available at their shop, and will politely refer you to a dealership or other repair shop that can better serve you. We have been Pomp’s (Firestone) customers for more than 20 years and have been referring friends and family to them for a long time. I trust them with all my vehicles.

Our local Pomp’s Tire Service deserves a high rating. From calling in to get an appointment, to having quality service work done, to having questions answered from the technician, the team in Norfolk provides terrific customer service. They are my ‘go to’ place!
