This gorgeous lodge is placed on top of a hill with a great view! My partner and I stayed here for several days, and we had no complaints. The owners are incredibly friendly and polite. We will absolutely be staying here again when we return to Niobrara!

Did some Whitetail hunting there. Terry and his wife are wonderful people. The dinners were great. The rooms were small but you have a very nice common area and shared bathroom there’s almost nothing in the town so the vacation there would be crazy talk unless you’re hunting turkeys or deer . The hunting was OK. I managed to get a nice white tail and my brother did not, but the weather turned very very bad. Can’t blame them for that. The lodge is beautiful.

Val was a wonderful host, we unfortunately did not get the chance to talk to her husband.
I felt mildly discriminated against as she was more comfortable talking to my white spouse, but other than that everything was great.
Our room was clean when we arrived, had the necessary toiletries, the view was gorgeous, and overall everything was comfortable.
She had breakfast out: muffins, cereal, fruit, granola bars, oatmeal, and some other pastries; It was very kind for her to lay that out every morning.
I would absolutely love to come back.

We found this great place to stay 3 years ago. We've stayed in every room but one and found them all to be clean, comfortable, quiet, cozy and restfull. The decor is a wonderful rustic log cabin type with natural wood tones. The hostess is the most welcoming person, think of a time visiting your favorite relative on the holidays and you'll be pretty close. Rates are affordable and the location takes you off the highway just enough to feel secluded.

Valerie is the most genuinely nice woman I have ever met! The whitetail lodge is my #1 pick everytime. The rustic vibe of a log cabin with the decor on point, the rooms are always clean and comfortable, just off the highway enough, and not far from the river. Niobrara is off the beaten path just enough to feel secluded but not completely isolated. Information is all easily accessible at the lodge for fun things to see in the area, everything from the casino to niobrara adventures. I cannot recommend the whitetail lodge enough!

Loved the stay. Such a lovely place. We rented all the rooms for our family trip. Every room was clean and the lodge was in great condition. The AC sure did work; I even slept in the third floor room and was a bit cold during the 95+degree days. Better that than too hot. The hosts were kind and gracious. No complaints here.

Valerie and Terry are great hosts. Building is real, wet built log framing. Rooms have good themes. Beautiful location and area attractions. Sit on the front deck and enjoy the views.

Wonderful lodge nice rooms.
Valerie and Terry are wonderful people. I’m disabled and they both bent over backwards to ensure a great time and hunt.

Hidden right off highway 14 in Niobrara this log lodge is close to Niobrara State Park with views of the Missouri River Valley. Slept in lower level bedroom with bath and full living area including dining table, full-size fridge, large tv right outside bedroom door. So quiet we overslept! We felt like we had the place to ourselves even though others were staying here. Upstairs dining area looks out to deck with river valley views. Owners normally serve hot breakfast but creatively accommodate breakfast during Covid with breakfast-to-go bags. Complete with cereal, danish and muffin. Milk, coffee, juice and yogurt are provided at your fingertips to customize your morning meal. Prices reasonable. Hunters welcome and owners can provide guide service.
