Have been a loyal customer since the 90s. My mom pretty much only shopped ar Von Maur and at one point worked there.My mom passed away and had a very small balance left. While my mom had a few credit cards with balances upon her death, Von Maur was the only one who took court action against her estate. Does Von Maur have nothing better to do than harass the daughter of a deceased mother? For $100???

When I was young I used to shop with mom and dad at Dayton’s in Minneapolis, and Marshall Field’s in Chicago. I’ve shopped at Harrod’s and Fortnum & Mason’s etc. For those too young to remember the kind of old fashioned department stores in smaller markets, Von Maur has the feel and quality and service that we used to enjoy before the “big box” generic stores that are now ubiquitous. Von Maur is a wonderful well appointed full service department store, with great people, and wonderful things.

it was during the heat dome when we visited so not looking our best. I expected to be treated with a side eye if you will. However, instead the two employees we crossed were professional and polite. This was our first visit to the store. We found some unique items and other nice things like children and baby items that in my opinion were reasonably priced. I look forward to going back.

Granted we were shopping close to closing but that was the only time we had available to go, the two individuals that were working in the dresses area were giving snarky comments when we were waiting. After we had tried on multiple dresses for a wedding that coming week, they complained " they are only trying the clothes on, they aren't going to buy anything", well your right, not anymore at least. I kinda need to try the dresses on to buy one, so that comment was a bit off, but way to make us feel awkward for trying to buy something!

Was shopping online and noticed they are now charging a $3 processing fee for items on sale. So that tells me the item really isn't on sale! The items I was looking at are not in the Lincoln store so you have to order online if you want the top. Not sure who made the decision on the processing fee but I probably won't do a lot of shopping with Von Maur now.

I just discovered this store so it's excited to go to my second one. I'm sort of a nut about customer service sometimes. It was towards the end of the day and probably five or six sales people walked by me and nobody said one single word to me. Can I help you how are you blah blah blah. Store in Lincoln didn't have as much selection as the nicer store in Decatur Illinois. Cater Illinois people were much friendlier.

This store isn’t for everyone, meaning, if you don’t shop here you probably don’t need to check it out. It’s pricey, but I did go this week and they have a great sale and I bought a few pieces. However, it’s worth a stop if you’re looking for unique, specialty items as gifts- they have a nice section there for home goods.

I wish there was a ZERO stars option. Multiple times have gone in to find a fragrance and have not been serviced. One lady interrupted our conversation and stormed away. Left very unsatisfied. Do your job next time.
