I switched to UBT after being with Wells Fargo for over 30 yrs (among all of the name changes it took to be known as Wells Fargo that is!) I always just thought that’s how things were & banks merge & corporate takes over everything….. UNTIL I REALIZED that UBT is a LOCAL bank & the people are personal & I don’t feel like just another person that stood in line for over 20 min to be helped. Honestly I had no idea how to respond when I first started banking here - but i know I will never not bank here. I really don’t have words to explain the difference. I just know the difference is beyond words.

helps resolve any discrepancies and issues i may be having
Helps with financing!!
She is simply the best!

Never had an issue at Union Bank until tonight. If you hire NEW people make sure to train them properly! When it comes to people's money certain mistakes are not acceptable. Had two people in the car and two different accounts. Sent in the first deposit. He took forever but managed to finally get the job done. After that I told him I had another deposit for another account and handed him the check with a totally different debit card than the first deposit. He deposited the second check into the first account. Do employees not read the names on debit cards? The names on checks? How is it okay to make this type of mistake. I told him he deposited my check into the previous account and his response was "Send it back then". WHO HIRES PEOPLE LIKE THIS? The woman who stepped in to help this guy was super rude and told me I should have sent the deposits in seperately. I told her I DID EXACTLY THAT, and her employee messed it up anyway. She didn't seem apologetic. If the guy is new he needs to learn the basics when it comes to jobs that deal with money!!! Terrible experience at UBT. Please get some better employees!

Literally the worst bank ever. I have a car loan with them and they will tell me a payment went through but then it never goes through. Don't ever do their online payment... a literal scam. Hate this bank. Don't tell me a payment went through and then charge a fee because it didn't go through. 0 stars if I could.

I opened a secured credit card a few years ago with UBT. This credit card has been nothing but problems the last few months so I decided to close it. I started a chat with UBT and was told by the rep that she could close the account and that I would not have to stop by a branch to sign any paperwork. The next day I went back to the chat and asked how long the account would take to close and when my money would be deposited back into my checking account and I was told that the account was already closed and that it would take 24-48 hours for the funds to be deposited.Four days later, the account was still open and no funds in my checking account. I stopped at a branch office and had to close the account and was told that it would take 7-10 days for the bank to refund MY money to my checking account. So I was lied to by the two reps in the chats. Amazing! Stay away from UBT, folks!
