I’m so glad that I joined the Northeast “Y” in September. Sebastian was a great and knowledgeable help at the front desk. Swimming laps two-three times a week, I appreciate the professional swimming and lifeguarding skills of: Tabitha, Quinn, Bri, and Tana. They are personable and helpful. The pool (excellent), showers, and locker room work well. Good job!

$17 just to try the facility out? What if I don’t want to be a member, do I get a refund? No thanks. Other gyms offer free trials. And from what the other reviews say the equipment isn’t even that good.

Love this location, but the area for the summer day care is very overcrowded and overwhelming for kids.

This YMCA has one of the best-equipped weight rooms in Lincoln, constantly cleaned and maintained by staff. There is a sauna next to the Olympic-sized pool. Recently pickleball lines have been added to the gym floor, making it an excellent venue for the indoor game.

The equipment is extremely outdated and crowded but they seem to have mostly all types of equipment you would need. It really just needs updated extremely badly. Also, the gal at the front desk is rude and unfriendly.

Equipment positioning is questionable and dangerous at best and some of the machines don’t even function properly. Got a nice sauna and nice staff tho.

This morning at 11:45 i came in with my kids.. The young Asian lady upfront working the desk sreamed at me and my children about having masks on when we walked in. She called me a trash n***er. Im so offended.. It makes no sense...they let you take them off as soon as you walk away from the front desk anyways. No need to bring racism into this young lady. Will not be back.

Facilities are decent at best. Gym equipment is older and crowded in the basement. Only redeeming quality is a fairly deep pool. They offer daycare. There's a older gentleman at the front desk who is always making inappropriate comments and staring at my children if they are with me. Not exactly reassuring. Sometimes he will comment about how "black" I look that day. Strange. The classes they offer are fairly inexpensive if you are a member. Parking is competitive.

Troy at the front desk is always rude to me. Once when my payment declined he rudely told me they dont accept EBT and i should take my knappy headed kids somewhere else. I could not even beleive the words as he spoke them. Always treats Black people like myself and my children as second class. This is a consistant issue.

This is the smallest YMCA weightlifting gym in Lincoln but it does have everything you need for a good workout. I go to all the YMCA facilities throughout Lincoln and like all of them. I enjoy coming to the Northeast Y because I grew up in this area. The people are friendly and they keep it clean.

The pool has no slides for my kids! Even stuff and it's small and I don't like it like my kid one time went to the pool and like while my 6 year old Aubergine said I don't like it and I agreed and my child was bored and didn't like the pool we went to then we just never went there

I love working out and sitting in the dry sauna afterward. Staff is amazing. Shoutout to Troy for always being so welcoming. It's a nice start to the day with his hello! Very quiet in the mornings so if you're worried about overcrowding, mornings are the way to go. The gym itself is old and needs renovation, but that doesn't interfere with a good workout. They have all machines you'd need and are in great condition! Plus side, not all locations have a sauna but at the NE location, they do.

Went swimming during the open hours and was told I couldn't use a float board for my 5 year old but then a man walks right out of the pool and puts one away after using it, why could he use one but we couldn't? Also there was some lifeguard training class going on on the deep end and we weren't allowed on half of the pools right side because of it and the schedule didn't say there was a class. Just frustrating

The pool is essentially always off limits. All prime hours are taken up by kids and seniors. If you want to swim go somewhere else. This makes me so angry because as an adult I have the highest tier membership fee. I literally pay the most and never get an opportunity to swim.

The girl at the front desk was kinda useless when I asked her questions about getting a membership and how much it would be for the year. She was being odd to me when I said I wanted to just go swim. And I'm trying to loss weight and it felt like the kids for life guards gave you judging looks. I'm kinda to nervous to go back. And the reviews are not helping.
