If I could give negative 5 stars I would! We have used this vet for the last 8 years and never had issues until some serious health issues started with my elder dog. They missed diagnosised him and put him through a surgery he didn't need nor helped him! Took him to another vet because our gut told us something was wrong after they brushed us off and said the surgery needs to heal first before we will see positive results. The new vet did some testing and asked if our vet had done a ultrasound or not the answer was No. The new vet did one and found my dog to be full of tumors! They said they are speechless at the fact the highlands did not fully exam my dog to find the root of the problem before giving my dog a unnecessary surgery. Definitely a money hungry vet and I wouldn't trust a word they say! Absolutely disappointed

I've been taking my cat here for her yearly checkups for 7 years now. Recently she needed some dental work done and Dr. Behrens and the rest of the staff were great to work with. They explained everything and took care of my senior cat during her dental work and then as she recovered. She's completely back to herself now and is no longer in pain!

We have been coming to Highlands animal hospital for for around 2 years with our senior dog after our previous vet closed their office. Drs. Behrens & Smith are both amazing and show compassion in their care. This truly showed in the way Dr. Behrens handled the very tough decision we had to make today. Thank you for making our very hard day a little easier by spending time with us to explain everything and giving us the time we needed.

Dr Behrens is so awesome! She is such a great listener, and addresses all of my concerns. I can tell she actually really likes my dogs. Wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else!

We love our vet! The doctor loves all the animals and treats our pup and kitty with the same love. They diagnose and treat things quickly. Scheduling can be out pretty far since they are a smaller business so if you need to be seen soon you may have trouble. We go to them mainly because they’re closest to us, but we ended up love the doctors and staff that we’ll be staying with them after we move!

While Mr. Kitty was alive, Highlands Animal Hospital took amazing care of him - even though he was a cranky old boy. I highly recommend using them as your family veterinary clinic. They truly care about our furry family members.

The service was very good but honestly I found it exorbitantly overpriced. That being said, they were more than willing to work with me on payments instead of a single lump sum. As far as the actual care, they were quick, responsive and took excellent care of my dog. They've also always answered the phone every time I've called.
